What tears down mountains,
Can be used to build castles,
Blinds some, yet helps others to see.

My only guess would be sand... but I still haven't figured out how this could help others to see, so I can't be for certain

It has to be sand, great answer man! the help to see part is for glasses!

Stronger than steel,
Works by feel,
For one brings room,
For one brings doom.

Ok, this is a totally wild guess, but is it forgiveness or trust or something like that? My answer almost doesn't really make sense, but it almost kinda does. Does that make any sense?

Sir, I bear a rhyme excelling,
In mystic force and magic spelling
Celestial sprites elucidate
All my own striving can't relate.

Deja, I can't even begin to think of what this could be. Good one. I have a couple of riddles for you guys when the ones that haven't been answered get answered.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

It has to be biceps1 on the stronger than steel one. These are all fun guys I read this section daily; thank you for taking time to post them.

When I'm used, I'm useless, once offered, soon rejected. In desperation oft expressed, the intended not protected. What am I?

no one has gottin this one yet?!!! wow...you guys give up?!!

That's an awesome quote! I love it!

I've been working on Pyro's riddle for what....a week now? Seriously, it's right next to my bed. Anyway, I've decided the answer is toiletpaper. I don't care what answer she thinks it is. It's TP! When it's used, it's useless...once it's offered it's soon rejected and sometimes desperation is expressed for it. And if you only intend to use it, well...then you definitely aren't protected.

And Biceps is so right. I love the riddles as well. I could use some cognitive enhancement.

OK, I've been thinking about this one. It's clearly not an object as the phrase "oft(en) expressed" means it has to be an emotion or a phrase. Based upon this, I have two possible answers. It's either:

a) Anger - useless when used, expressed in desperation etc

or

b) A Bad Excuse - expressed in desperation, rejected when offered.

I'd be more inclined to go with my first answer, but that's just my two pence.
