I know that we have some friends on this server from London and i just wanted to see if they are ok and also say sorry if anyone knew someone that was lost or hurt to those bombings. I had a friend there, luckily it was his day off or he would have been on one of the stations. I hope everyone is ok.

I believe MeanDevil is the one I first heard the news from so I know he's OK

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

I think MeanDevil is from down under or New Zealand, I thought of Ess Jay right away as well. For all the English players out there I hope the bombings had no direct relation to you, and you are most definately in our thoughts on this side of the pond.

Thanks for your thoughts and concern. I can't speak for all the UK guys, but it's good to know that we are all in this together. These terrorist activities are happening in all countries - it was bound to hit London again at some time.

I personally don't know anyone who was directly involved in the bombings. About twice a week my wife uses one of the tube stations that was hit, but not on that day thankfully.

So, thanks for the support.

I'm glad our UT buddies are ok. Best wishes to everyone else in London.

There will be 2 minutes of silence in the UK on Thursday. I hope the US and Canada set up a public time for this respect.

Thanks for the comments, chaps!

Well, it was certainly a bizarre day on this little island, permated by the rather ironic 'Hitchikers's Guide to the Galaxy' movie poster outside the window of my office proclaiming 'DON'T PANIC!'. I was showing a work experience kid of 14 years old around the office at the time, and he was on his mobile (cellphone) every five mintues, excitedly boasting to his friends back home in Wales that he was in the middle of it all. The armed security forces that came in to check up on us only fuelled this!

The trouble is, as harsh as it may seem, Londoners pretty much take all this on the chin and carry on as they're used to it from the IRA heyday. Yes, the public transport system pretty much gorund to a halt, but it was back up and running the following morning, and everyone pretty much got on with their lives, stopping only to pay their respects to those affected. They're quite a resilient bunch! Besides, these attacks are there to cause fear, so why give those responsible the pleasure? That's the general spirit here, regardless of what the media may be telling you.
