In the spirit of team effort, Druid was nice enough to add xp for healing teammates in the last patch. Anyone notice if it works?

I was just going to ask if that idea had been put in affect because one game last night I had a healing weapon for every round, so I just healed most everyone. I didn't notice my exp going up, but I didn't expect it to because I wasn't killing too many monsters. I think that's a great addition and adds to the team element of the game!

A couple days ago me and mac had the perfect setup for healing... He had a great healing mini, i had a good healing link (with a lucky mini), and we just hid by the mini (which was also in a great hiding spot).

Healing central. Of course, in the interest of fair play we ran out and suicided (not intentionally) every now and then.

(I think that was also the game I had 3 ever increasingly better Vamp weapons each time I died. Hehehehe.)

I hadn't noticed it. (But being the unobservant retard that I am, I just discovered this morning that we get points for beating the aliens. Nurrrr! And I was wondering why I leveled at the end when I still had a few points to go

) I'll watch for it though.

3 artifact stealers from one map ..

I myself might be guilty of stealing artifacts, either from thinking I killed the moster it came from or not paying attention and just walking over it. If I do this to someone Im sorry and please let me know and I will gladly give it back to you.

and btw the only names ill be posting are the people who knowingly took the charms.. that see/hear text message and voice but will not respond.

Im new to the mod, i played before as "The 13th Raptor" for a while but i lost the login.. anyways..

You guys are complaining about kill stealing.. im sorry if i angered any of you but i see this as a team efford, if some-one is being jumped by a Nali i sure as hell WILL kill him. I shoot at any monster.. i have no time telling whos shooting at who, i just try to kill as many of them before they kill me.

Artifact stealing.. allright, i try to avoid picking these up as im hardly ever responcible for finishing off a monster.. but during the higher waves im so busy dodging and jumping trying to shake Nali off me that i propbably picked up some artifacts what werent mine.. And im sorry for this, but i cant help it.

TO TOSS AN ARTIFACT
equip the charm you want to toss (the charm in the lower left corner of your screen is the charm that is equipped)
hit the `key(the button just to the left of number 1 and just under the esc key) and type tossartifact one word just how I did it, then press enter .
That should help you out some Tasuric, and anyone else who is wondering how to do it. I hear people ask how to do it all the time in game.

Well, for me, sometimes I accidently run over those artifacts..I come flying around a corner and run over it when its in a blood chunk pile or somthing. I don't do it intentienally.
So what I do in that event is find a player who is doing very well with points in the game or who is a better player than I so they can use it to help. Most of the time I die before I use it so i'd rather someone else have it anyhow.
I don't have a mic, so i won't be listening for you to tell me, but do write it and if i still have it i'll give it back!

Also, if you want to bind the "tossartifact" to a button, you can go to your user.ini in your ut2004\system folder, open user.ini with notepad (make sure you make a copy of the file and stash it somewhere like your documents folder in case something happens) and scroll down the document. about 1/4 of the way down the doc you will start seeing the names of keys on your keyboard, some with stuff already bound to them, like this:

Insert=SwitchWeapon 6
LControl=
Left=StrafeLeft
LeftBracket=InventoryPrevious
LShift=
Minus=ShrinkHUD

Now, find the key name that you wish to bind the tossartifact to, then just type it in next to that key, like so:

PageDown=ThrowWeapon
PageUp=tossartifact
Pause=Pause
As you can see, I use PageUp to toss them. It makes it much easier in game to just hit a button, rather then having to type it all out and stand there like shis-kabob on a stick for the critters that are after you.

Sorry, you all know I am not a person to rant and get frustrated but I finally see what Mystic started yelling about a little while back. I feel your pain now brother.

I'd like to add that voting a map off should be done only in extreme cases. I love vehicle invasion, it's the only game type where I can usually score pretty good. But 4 out of 5 times (after the map has been voted in by the majority) someone complains and repeatedly says "vote for another map" or "this is boring, vote it out". And of course, like sheep, people start voting. I find this very rude.

If a game type is voted in and you don't like it, go away or play it. There are a few of maps I'd prefer not to play, but I play them because I know a majority voted for it and I accept that.

Are you talking about when we played Dria a few days ago? If so then I know what you are talking about. I was one of the people trying to change the map because I knew it was going to take forever. If I made you mad then I apologize.
