gangsters swearing with british accents while killing people will always be funny. snatch wuld not be anywhere near as good a movie if it was set in america. Powder was a weird movie, it was about the genius albino alien kid, right?

Superior tactics will prevail, and ownage shall ensue.

Sounds interesting. I think I'll pick it up for this weekend.

Ok, so I watched Powder last night. I enjoyed it. Sean Patrick Flannery was awesome. I was furious at with the whole bully thing closer to the end (and the deer ordeal). I don't want to spoil it for anyone who hasn't seen it. I liked Jeff Goldblum's character too! What a cool guy.

So, those are Boingo's feelings for the day.

BTW, CPL, I've been meaning to compliment you on your avatar. That movie killed me.

So, what else do you guys want to recommend for me? Books, too! I'm always looking for a new book to stick my nose in!

I'm not a book person, but the best book I've ever read is Red Branch by Morgan Llewelyn. It's about the hound of Ulster which is an old Irish Myth. Very good book, would love to see it on the bigscreen. Ralphy with a bar of soap in his mouth is probably the most appropriate avatar for me.

If you liked snatch then locked stocked & 2 smoking barrels is just as good I think half the actors are the same even the characters they play are a lot alike.

12 Monkeys was awful. That movie drove me crazy, but if you liked it you'll probably like the Cell with Jennifer Lopez. It's so weird. When I watched them all I kept thinking was "When will this end?"

What was Snatch about?

Ok! Getting Snatch for this weekend and when I finish with White Oleander, I'm going to read Ender's Game. Man, I'm getting so cultured here.

I definitely wouldn't have recognized Billy Bob in Tombstone if you hadn't pointed him out, Pyro.

CPL, what's the myth behind the hound of Ulster? Would that spoil the book if you told?

The Hound of Ulster was a young warrior from ancient Ireland. It would be difficult to explain it all, but if you google cuchulain you will find all you are looking for and probably a little more. cuchulain=the hound of ulster.
