i'm using the RPG2.0, with Druids 153, Obscenery's Monster_Manager_1_8, and nearly every monster pack i can think of, as well as AdminPlus, and Spider Steroids... i'll be posting this everywhere, in hopes that someone will know what the cause is and correct it, but here's the problem:

during play, the DedServ that i have (next to my leg, i might add), will randomly give a long list of the same error (ala:

Warning: MonsterInv DM-DE-Osiris2.MonsterInv (Function UT2004RPG.MonsterInv.SpawnMonster:01E7) Accessed None 'BestDest'

Warning: MonsterInv DM-DE-Osiris2.MonsterInv (Function UT2004RPG.MonsterInv.SpawnMonster:01BB) Accessed None 'BestDest'

over... and over... and over... that message is plastered literally hundreds of times in my server.log file... every here and there, i'll have a different message:

Warning: MonsterInv DM-DE-Osiris2.MonsterInv (Function UT2004RPG.MonsterInv.SpawnMonster:01BB) Accessed None 'BestDest'

then it resumes again, to the hundreds upon hundreds of the first errors... eventually, the server will hang on one line (ie:

Warning: MonsterInv DM-DE-Osiris2.MonsterInv (Function UT2004RPG.MonsterInv.SpawnMonsL

making note of ".SpawnMonsL"

the L in that line will frequently change characters... like H, or m, or 4... then the server will hang again when the FLOOD of errors pops up again, but they won't pop up in lines, they will rapidly change the L character... i don't know what the heck is going on, and would really like some help!

i'm posting the log file on my website, you can download it here (~6MB because of the errors!! ):

http://members.cox.net/teamrad/server.log

please oh great one! help me!

also, since i'm here -> are the monsters in Monster Tongue configurable in any way (ie: what spawns at what level) because i've noticed that while using MM18, i can spawn an overlord (C5 monster pack) with monster tongue level 8, as well as numerous other monsters including the warlord, titan, and queen, and a few modded skaarj! i can do some C++ work, and looked at the ability classes, but didn't understand where the MonsterList array was being stored, or if the array was being generated dynamically by the availability of monsters XD

here's a quote from the atari thread:

my pets have a tendency to follow me around (like titan, warlord, queen) like bots... boy, i wish i could order them around like a bot (v-4-5-1... search and destroy... in single player mode, the summoned monsters appeard in the player list (F1 - rankings) like sentinels do... i haven't tried to order them in single player though (probably wouldn't do anything, but it was nice seeing them there in the F1 thing)...

i wanted to know if there was a way to control which monsters were summoned so i could do something like this:

lvl1=skaarj pupae
lvl2=babyskaarj
lvl3=skaarj
lvl4=iceskaarj/fireskaarj
lvl5=Metalskaarj
lvl6=Electro
lvl7=Ictus
lvl8=Trogg

(weak to strong skaarj)

or

lvl1=nali w/shieldgun
lvl2=nali w/assaultrifle
lvl3=nali w/biorifle
lvl4=nali w/flakcannon
lvl5=nali w/rocketlauncher
lvl6=nali w/lightninggun/sniperrifle
lvl7=nali w/minigun
lvl8=nali w/shockrifle

(i.m.h.o - what a nali would be best with according to damage vs. range vs. firing rate)

a hiearchy of pets, instead of this "well let's spawn random stuff now that we have all these monsters" thing... that's ridiculous, imho... i remember with regular RPG and druids with satore's, and no other mutes, it was something like this:

lvl1=razorfly/manta/skaarj pupae
lvl2=krall
lvl3=krall/elite krall
lvl4=brute/behemoth
lvl5=skaarj
lvl6=fireskaarj
lvl7=iceskaarj
lvl8=warlord/titan/queen

and on SkY's old server, i remember lvl 3 was nali's that could spawn with any default non-onslaught weapons (remember when lazyi would kill his pet until it spawned with deemer? ^^) i want something like that... or -> I want my pet to level up, too! i'm a big fan of RPG's, and i remember thinking "man guild wars is gonna be tight" and it IS! and if you're a ranger, your pet can level up too ^_^... maybe i should post this on Mysterial's & Druid's site lol... oh well, any one have any ideas on how to get what i want done... done? SkY? - Raze2K5

And about sentinels: I read a forum thread here about mine's from the mine-layer taking on the modifier property of whatever weapon you're currently using, and noticed that Sentinels do that, as well. I was wondering, then, if there would be any way to make a sentinel take on your character's properties? since they are not upgradeable at the moment, would it be possible for a sentinel to have your enhanced damage, or weapon speed, or damage reduction by pulling values from your character's stored information?

^_^ plz help me i'm such a n0b atm... i spent 14 hours trying to figure out how to get monster manager to work, and then it dawned on me that i just had to make my own waves... i go braindead sometimes, and things just don't click until i'm doing something else ^^ help plz - Raze2K5

I think that there's some posts on Mysterial's forum about Sentinel incompatabilities and UT2004RPG. You might try over there.

Over here I'll tell you anything is possible... just break out the source and start a fishing

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Hey, in the 2.1 version, Mysterial lets you specify precisely which monsters can be summoned with the skill and artifact. I'm guessing if you keep sentinels out of the list you'll be ok.
