I just tried and It was so hard to get my minigun to get lvl 60 % proficiency from wave 1 to wave 13, and Its damage was low compared to a Extreme WM or Tank or Berserker, and the way to lvl it up... wow man Its so hard, you can get your targets easy killed by another player who is near, couse your damage is kinda nerfed.

I got another Idea to make it more interesting,

-How about giving the skilled weapon class artifacts which you can select and giving any weapon a magical ability maxed example: +4 poison, +6 freezing, +4 vanilla, +3 healing and It can only be applied only for two weapons of choice which cant be dropped or tossed.

So the skilled weapon user will choose only 2 weapons for the entire match the ammo will be infinite on those two and will have increased damaged to apply its proficiency. Will hit hard but only using 2 weapons.

I recall playing my AM a while back and asked if a Skilled Weapons WM needed a max. He told me he didn't have any magic weapons to max, since they only get LW level 2. To which I replied, "So you're skilled with crappy weapons?"

I'm planning on trying out the subclass once I get my WM up to level 150, but I'm still quite confused on what exactly the Weapon Proficiency skill does. There are no specifics in the Wiki, and though I recall reading somewhere a proposal to make 300 kills grant 100% "proficiency" with a weapon, I don't know if this was actually implemented and don't know what 100% proficiency would do. So, 2 questions I haven't found answers for in the forums (and if I've overlooked a thread somewhere, I do apologize):

1. What is the damage bonus gained per percentage point, or what is it at 100% proficiency?

2. How many kills are required to gain 100% proficiency?

Actually weapon proficiency goes up to 200% not 100% meaning you deal 3 times as much damage as normal when fully maxed not just twice. Sadly you must use one weapon a map if you choose to max the proficiency, I would prefer the flak among all others. If you get lucky, you should try out that subclass when in small maps where monsters are abundant and kills are easy to obtain. If done correctly you can obtain the 200% proficiency around wave 11 or 12. The beautiful thing about this subclass is you can switch flaks from a bad weapon to a good weapon and still maintain the high proficiency rate, unless they changed it in recent build. For example if you have a normal flak and start killing up to wave 6 or so and an AM happens to make a null flak +6 and is handing it out, kills will not only become easier but also the proficiency stacks on the +6! So you decide how you want to play when you get the subclass
