Ok Alpha Omega was ok, yogi bear was a joke, Teenage Dragon Slayer was a Worse than a B rated movie but my kids loved the troll in the movie because of his voice!

movies are far and few in number being that I'm still currently unemployed and they even closed the Block Buster in town its ether buy it or redbox it!

saw Gulliver's travels also was a definitely different take on it!

I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!

Jack Black is just different...and always seems to play the same character in a different situation. But Tom Cruise was that way in his early years, and the Duke was that way his entire career...so....

Too much has been seen to really do a review, and of course we are always behind since we don't go out to watch new stuff. The latest Tron is in queue with the original right in front as my wife hasn't seen it yet. I figured it would be good to start at the beginning since it's been well over 15 years since I've seen it myself.

Watched the Sorcerer's apprentice last night. That was pretty good. Only one thing bothered me, the bad guy was trapped in the doll for' what your led to believe' is 1000 years, but he pops out wearing early 20th century clothing. But we may have missed something.

now I have never seen the whole tron movie before just bits and pieces here and there. I've seen a few others but just can't seem to remember what they are. seen most of Despicable me and cloudy with a chance of meatballs.

can't wait for part 2 of the deathly hallows to come out on disk.

saw a preview for a movie called super 8 that looked interesting

ok i just saw Leaves of Grass which has an AMAZING cast! not new but an awesome show!!!! very worth the watch!!!! But not a kids movie. I also saw Exit Through the Gift Shop which was very interesting if you are into street art and graffiti! I think this is kid safe...i cant remember if theres any swearing in it but i think they bleep it out with it being a documentary. Heres an oldie but still a classic EPIC film!!! Steven Kings The Stand!!! Just came out on instant watch on Netflix!!!! Im SOOO happy!!! Also an oldie but truly an AMAZING movie is Only the Strong!!! Both very much not kid friendly but both amazingly epic films!!!

As for TV my top 3...ok top 4 right now are: Deadliest Catch, Leverage, Lie to me and Archer!!! I think Leverage and Lie to Me are fine for kids but im not 100% sure...Deadliest Catch i think is fine tho! its on Discovery!! ...but Archer is VERY MUCH NOT, I REPEAT NOT KID FRIENDLY!!!!!!!!! But ABSOLUTELY gut wrenching HILARIOUS!!!!! one of the most epic tv shows ever! I heard they might be cancelling Lie to Me cuz its on as the same time as something else thats big and i am hoping with all i have that they dont cancel what i think is a GENIUS idea for a show and extremely well cast and put together!! Then of course the other favorites: Bones, NCIS, CSI, House, True Blood, Top Gear, Greys Anatomy, oh and we just started Tosh.0 lol!!!! wicked awesome comedian!! And of course some of those are not kid friendly either...but ya just some i think some of you might enjoy!!!!

Don't have HBO, but the wifey and I are True Blood junkies.

I watched the first season on DVD on a friend's recommendation. Hated the first two episodes, but gave it another chance and got hooked.

Admittedly, it is a bit soap opera-ish, but it's well done and just plain fun to watch.

We are currently about a third of the way thru season 3 and loving it.

As for movie reviews, I started watching Battle Los Angeles last night, but got tired and didn't finish. Wasn't impressed with what I did see.

I have Deathly Hallows Pt.1 but haven't watched it yet. Yep, I'm a Harry Potter fan.....

Like other parents, most of the flicks I see these days are kids movies. Cloudy With a Chance of Meatballs is my older boy's fav. It is a good movie.

Summit Extra Pale Ale....the best beer known to man.

wombat calls me the Potterpedia cuz ive read the books so many times i know them by heart and that means he gets kinda frustrated with me when we go to see the movies cuz i tend to 'grr' a lot with how much they leave out and change. But over all i think this one stayed as close to the book as possible but i wish they would have had the new minister played by Bill Nighy (whom i love!!) more in the film and i wish mad eye would have let Tonks finish her announcement in the beginning but other than that i was pleasantly surprised!!! we have had our opening night tickets for a while now and i cant wait!!! i always dress up for my fav movie opening nights!! for part one i was photographed and was actually in a magazine, a newspaper and some guy interviewed me as well as a bunch of others for a you tube video lol it was a blast! and i shall be dressing up again!!! i cant wait!!!!!!!

on a side note i saw a movie called Wristcutters which sounds like a movie you really wouldnt want to see but after reading what it was about and that its a comedy i decided to give it a go and i laughed through out the whole movie! i was surprised at how many faces i recognized!!! i LOVED it!!!

I happen to have picked up at yard sales the 1st HP book in paperback and the Half blood Prince in hard back. I saw movies 1st so when I read that his Aunt was a blonde haired woman and not brunette like in the movie I had to re-read it to make sure that I saw it right! I hate the way they butcher and change things from the book to the movie especially in the way char's looks and such. If you like SyFy the movie and book called Outland is almost verbatim to the book very few changes in it, and the main char is played by Sean Connery

I dont ruin it for myself, so I just dont read the books. The only books/movies I have read/seen are To Kill A Mocking Bird and Of Mice And Men. I havnt read many books, and those that I have, they were never made into movies, so Ive been spared.

Like I said the movie/book called Outland are almost the exact same the main difference between the 2 is a fight scene where a move was done in the book but left out in the movie...why! because Earth does not have a low enough gravity to allow for that type of moves.

Just finished watching "Warrior's Way" a great Kung-fu/Western
not for the kids violent, bloody, and dark at times
The visuals are beautiful , the lighting in the fight scenes is top notch very stylish
think "The man with no name" with a Katana
