Well the grammar is not correct in all places, there is no set subject, save the paragraph itself. one sentence ends in a question mark but is a statement.

is that what you are going for?

No, it's nothing to do with grammar or subject. By those definitions, the paragraph would be incorrect. I merely implied that the paragraph is unusual.

A Pearl

My Grandfather used to tell me that one years ago. He used to use it as a metaphor for people in general - they may portray a cold, hard exterior to the outside world, but once you get underneath that and really get inside them, they often hold a beautiful soul. It's because of the delicate nature of their soul that they hide it away, feeling a sort of resentment for it as they often can't express themselves truly. A 'Catch 22' if you will.

*ahem* Anyway - Murder. Death. Kill. Let's frag, baby!

Good job! You still have 3 of mine to go though!

Part carbon, part water, I am poison to the fishes. Many have falsely claimed my name, for I am the pause that refreshes. What am I?

This is an unusual paragraph

I want to take a shot at your riddle ess-jay...
It took awhile for me to realize that the paragraph was missing the letter "e" in it. It never appears once, I thought this was weird considering it's extremely common. So that's what I think is wrong with the paragraph.

When I'm used, I'm useless, once offered, soon rejected. In desperation oft expressed, the intended not protected. What am I?

It cannot be seen, cannot be felt,
Cannot be heard, cannot be smelt.
It lies behind stars and under hills,
And empty holes it fills.
It comes first and follows after,
Ends life, kills laughter.

And...

What tears down mountains,
Can be used to build castles,
Blinds some, yet helps others to see.

Oh, and...

Stronger than steel,
Works by feel,
For one brings room,
For one brings doom.

DarkestPoet - you wouldn't happen to be a fan of Tolkien's 'The Hobbit'?
