I don't mind being an artifact pinata. I enjoy playing the class. It really is a lot of fun. I'm already starting to think up keybinds to jump between the triple and globe. I got this score at lvl 32 with LA.

I don't know of a LW player scoring that high near that level (though there may be one or two). I routinely earn 700 - 1000 exp per map.

I'm not bragging, just showing that LA can play. Between the medics and the ridiculously cheap LA abilities, any LW player can make the switch and be competing in no time. I described how to spend early points in another thread. I like this class, I know it will change, but I hope not *too* much.

Spacey, seriously, no offense, but if you're not getting through a wave with 204 adren using the triple, I think you might be doing something wrong. I do it easily with 125.

Like with the flak 5/triple thread, I've said my bit and now I'm gone. I think this thread is getting way too ugly and a rehash of things said many times before, only this time much louder and with more exaggerations thrown in for heightened effect. I seriously doubt it will produce anything worthwhile in the end.

I revise part of my previous statement, not the part about loving the server and the community, but the part about changing the weapons.

Seriously.

I got loaded artifacts level 2 tonight and everything changed.
At this point I wouldent complain if you took the FLACK totaly out of the game!

Flak 5 is not the biggest problem.

Removing Tripple is. Or making it drain adren faster. This is what is gonna kill the class. Because Tripple is the only way LA can keep up with LW on the score board.

Whole lotta speculation going on. Lets just wait and see how it shakes out, could be overreacting to a change that is very playable. I've really been fighting the urge to use the Karma meter here.

I realize the examples and statistics I gave you will not compare at all to the DC server, but as I stated it's probably due to the settings. The reason LA players are actually more powerful on our server is that we use many additional monsters and we have several waves with monsters that are worth more points than a normal titan or warlord.

I know that Druid made this mod and he will continue to taylor it to fit his setup but in my interests I will always be resistant to changes that will totally screw up the setups any other servers might have. Most Invasion servers arent as slow paced as DC is. Not to say that it is easy, but to me it seems slow paced.

As it stands I feel that the LA class has the potential to be much more powerful than LW players IF the stat caps and monsters used will allow it.

Yes, mostly. It's *never* damaged as a +6 anyway, and it's never healed as a +6, as that changes with your level of loaded healing.
 

I thought it worked as a standard +6 healing weapon, so doing 6*1% damage bonus and 6*5% of damage as healing? I thought only the amount of health you could heal back to (+50,+100,+150) was determined by the LoadedHealing? And the experience was determined by the level of Exphealing? I suppose by now the version you are working on could well be significantly different to the last 'public' version.
But I agree, showing it as plus 6 provides no benefit.

I think that in 190 or sometime later, there should be some sort of addition that lets people carry more than one of an item. I recently managed to obtain 3 straight Magic Weapon Makers as drops and there were other people asking for some, but because I could only get one I couldn't give them any. This could really help out those of us who are lucky and helpful. And this could be a small way for the Adrenaline masters to fell less nerfed without being over-powered.

The problem with that is I believe there can only be a certain number of dropped artifacts in play at any one time. If that is indeed the case than it would mess up everyone else. Is 190 up and running now?

Great idea. It would be so helpful as an AM to be able to pick these up and give them away to others. It would allow me to ask if anyone wanted, then dump if no one did. At the moment, if you take out a monster and an artifact appears, most people tend to politely leave it you, and it's not always possible to tell others to take it before it disappears.

Well, here I go again.

So let's see what LA's are complaining about... They want the triple, which means they want power, they want power because they want to be equal to Weapon Masters. Here comes my Unbalance Theory again. They *shouldn't* be equal. Anyone here played Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic? Playing as a Soldier is way easier than a Scoundrel in combat. If Scoundrels didn't get lots of skill points to use in Persuade, no one would use them except for bragging rights.

Okay, have your triple. You now do twice as much as a Loaded Weapons player, and at that rate, through the entire game. Um, overkill? It sets no gap between Loaded Weapons and Medics. It needs to be the middle class. It needs to be the 'Scout' (KotOR reference).

One thing about the triple that I never really liked. If it's so similar to the Double Damage, why are the mechanics almost totally different? I say Triple Damage becomes a use-anytime, no-adrenaline, 30-second damage booster, just like Double Damage.

First the Freezing, Null and Vamp, Soupman never recovered after that last one .
Now the Flak 5 . I feel like a ickle boy who's been very naughty and had all his best Action Man toys taken away, and been left with a Barbie Doll. And ya know what happens to Boys that play with Barbie Dolls don't ya.

Just remember that if any of the changes disagree with you :-

1. Its not the weapons that make the server enjoyable, its the Cool and friedly peeps that play here .
2. Its Dru and Shantara's server.

As Dirty remineded me, Dru is a coder and does this for fun!. The Oooster will be upset to lose the Triple and +5's. BUT in your best singing voice, sing this

"Its Dru's server and he'll Nerf if he wants too" 2 3 "Nerf if he wants too" 2 3 "Nerf if he wants to" 2 3 "You'd Nerf if you had a server like his too"

This is why I haven't really been as vocal about some of the changes that are coming as I have been about other topics, and why in general I've been quiet. IIRC (I dunno it's been a while since I've really read the thread all that closely) all I've done since Dru has handed down the law is ask for details regarding the changes and suggested future changes that I think are in line with where Dru wants Adrenaline Masters to head (I *may* have respectfully disagreed with one or two of the decisions, but I spoke my peace and then moved on). I know to a large extent what Dru might feel about any negativity that shows up regarding decisions he's made. But what folks need to be clear about is:

He's offered AM's the chance to try out the changes when they're implemented, and then switch them to WM's if they so desire. Frankly, it would be perfectly fine with me if he simply said, "This is how I want it. Deal with it." (Admittedly, not having an AM character yet, I am not as impacted by some of these changes as an AM will be.)

It is the community that surrounds this particular server that kept me coming back after that first connection. "Woot" you all! I was writing a book before I found this server!

Here are my 3 Ideas in no particular order:

1. If the Medics can have a Healing Weapon of there choice....
Why not have a weapon master have a Damage Weapon of there choice and a Adrenaline Master have an Energy Weapon of there choice?

2. I would also like to see a +6 through +10 multiplier (10% db for each+) for just Weapon Masters, not every spawn, random just like any other magical weapon only to WM's. Not a Vorpal or Rage, just plain multiplier. The prerequisite have max damage bonus and loaded 5, or some other prerequisite. Of course, not sharable.

3. For the Flak +5, just make that not sharable, i.e. flaks/rockets not sharable or even all weapons not sharable. Can you try that and see how people respond to that?

Three good ideas there Smokes.

Regarding number 2, if AMs get extra artifacts that WMs can't get, then WMs probably ought to get weapons that AMs can't get. Whether that be extra magic types or just different ranges, and whether it is all the time or just occassionally are the fine tuning. I liked some of vOrTeX's weapons.

Uhh I may be wrong here, but I think that weapon masters already get weapons that AMs don't. I havent played much, but I have defenatly seen people pull out weapons that don't spawn on a paticular map and use them..... I play an AM sometimes and I don't think they do that.
