We've already lost some famous ones this year, as we do every year. Some go too soon, some are ready to go. This thread will be dedicated to those famous and not-so-famous alike. love them, admire them, loathe them, what have you, most of us will find that a few touched a part of our lives at one point or another, wether good or bad, feel free to leave your comments and add to the list.

They say the famous pass away in 3's....
Ed McMahon June 23,2009
Farrah Fawcett June 25,2009
Michael Jackson June 25,2009

I grew up watching each of them, altho Mr. Jackson has gone downhill the past decade atleast, he was once a big influence to young people and I throughly enjoyed and still enjoy watching the Thriller video.

I was completely shocked when I heard about Michael Jackson. Although he didn't thrill me as a human being, I've always loved his old music. Dirty Diana is such a great song!

I wasn't as surprised with Farrah Fawcett. Its sad that she fought so hard and lost.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

There goes the rule of 3. Just been upped to 4. MJs news coverage has drowned out just about everything else...so we never heard it on the news this morning.

Bad couple weeks for the famous.

We can add former NFL star Steve McNair (very tragic) and actor Karl Malden (the younger ones won't know who he is) to the list.

Summit Extra Pale Ale....the best beer known to man.

That completes 2 rounds of the rule of 3, back to back.

Also the last WWI vet died today at 113. He was the oldest man alive at the time. He may have also been Brittish, so may be the last Brittish WWI vet, not the last WWI vet, I didnt catch all of that news.
