In this thread I will list changes submitted to cvs, for possible inclusion in the next build.

  • Beam and Bolt have been changed. At the moment, if you are running a double or triple then you cannot use the beam or bolt. This is now changed so you can use the beam and bolt, but they get no benefit from the double or triple. So the same damage, regardless. At least it means you can use the double or triple for your standard weapons
  • I have slightly modified the radar so that pets are only normal size dots rather than the bigger dots they were. Also blocks shown as grey rather than blue.
  • Scoreboard. I have added showing of class and xp to the invasion scoreboard. It is not perfect, but will at least give us some feedback. Biggest problem is that once you die, your scoreboard will not update xp since the last time you looked at it.But while you are alive it is good. Updates once every 15 seconds to avoid putting any load on the bandwidth.

    Minor points.
  • EngineerAwarenessEnemyList class renamed to EngineerAwarenessTeamList, as the guys on your side are not really Enemies.
  • Minor bug fix to DruidArtifactMonsterSummon to remove a couple of error logs

    Minor bug fix to ShieldBlast. Bug was noticed by Greg11 where if the shield healing was for exactly 50, then the pawn thought it had got a small shield. I had forgotten to submit the changes.

  • Change to minigun turret so always ejects the player when it explodes. Hopefully this might reduce the number of server crashes. (Although I haven't yet been able to reproduce the crash problem)
  • Change to minigun turret so the player takes slightly less damage inside the turret. Just in case this also is part of the crash problem
  • Change to the new scoreboard to reduce the amount of network traffic, and also now works after the player has died.

    Ok, submitted some of the changes I have been working on. Druid will have to give the final nod as to what gets put on the server.

    New abilities:
  • Engineer: Fast Build. 5 levels, cost 4,5,6,7,8 reduces build delay time by 10% per level.
  • AM: Energy Shield. 2 levels, cost 15,15. Once you get to 10 health damage uses up adrenaline instead of health at a rate of /(0.5*level)

    Changes to existing abilities/artifacts:
  • SphereDamage cost per second now 10 instead of 12, and minimum adrenaline required to run is 40 rather than 100.
  • SphereInvulnerability still costs 18 per second, but now gives 1.5 xp per sec to bring it closer to the reward rate of the damagesphere without allowing exploits.
  • SphereHealing cost per second now 7 instead of 9, healing 15 per second instead of 10, requiring a minimum of 28 rather than 50 to run.
  • Lightning Beam timer now reduced to one second between shots. Damage is marginally increased from 6 to 7 per adrenaline.
  • Megablast max damage increased to 1400 so it stands more chance of taking out a metal titan. And time between shots reduced to 30 secs.
  • Enhanced damage changed from +1% to +1.5% per level
  • Vampire now limited by the remaining health of the victim rather than just the damage of the weapon.
  • Likewise Energy weapons and Energy Leech adrenaline bonus is limited by the remaining health of the victim.
  • Also ArmorVampire limited by victim's health
  • Delay on ShieldRegen reduced from 5 seconds to 3 seconds, as 5 seconds is a long time in a battle.
  • Turrets now show the number of engineers linking to the turret
  • Ball turret damage slightly increased to 50 from 45.

    Extra Engineer constructs:
  • Exploding barrels added. 1 building point each, with a delay of 10 secs.
  • Leaning wall, LongShelter, HighWideWall,TallCurveWall, LowWall

    Not included:
  • Changes to allow AMs to switch weapons and get the new magic type.
  • Changes to allow the double damage to affect the magic reward. (e.g. at present you get same vampire back from a weapon with or without the DD). I don't think we can do this without removing the energy weapon giving adrenaline with an artifact running.

  • I may have fixed the "crouching killing blocks" bug.

    Also minor change to the DCMonsters. The trail on the IceKrall projectile wasn't disappearing when it was supposed to.

  • Minor change to Ultima to hopefully reduce the times it takes out players when a bot leaves.
  • Minor bug fixes to the Inv and Damage Spheres
