Good news is Remicade seems to work wonderfully for the people we dispense it to at work (I work in a Pharmacy)

You should see if the Remi-care (think that is what it is called) people will help you out with the cost of infusions, they subsidize all of the people we have at my pharmacy.
so the end cost usually ends up to cost you $0 after insurance et al.

My sympathies, Demon - a friend of mine has Crohn's disease. He's doing well now with the proper treatments, but it was pretty ugly for several months after he was first diagnosed. Good luck, and I hope the infusions work for you.

The actual cost of each Remicade treatment is $3,900.00 and my insurance pays 80% of the treatment. I pay the other 20% plus the $50.00 specialist visit co-pay, which totals $842.00 per treatment out of my pocket.

However, the MOOP takes over after I reach $1,000.00 threshold per calendar year. As such, the total annual cost of the treatments will be $1,000.00 plus the $50.00 co-pay, for an estimated annual cost of roughly $1,300.00. I will start the treatments after the holidays and will keep everyone updated.

I am exploring other options for the UT3 server and am thinking about just a 24/7/365 dedicated home server using one of my other desktops for the time being instead of cloud/co-server setups.

I have an interesting situation. Keep in mind that I have a corner desk and my gaming monitor sits right in the corner with the gaming pc underneath with my personal printer down below to the left in the printer tray. On the right top side of of my desk sits my work laptop and work printer. I have some room underneath for another small tower pc (for the server) and some room on the top left side for another monitor for the server. However, there is a lot of heat from the gaming pc even tho it's liquid-cooled and I'm afraid that with both tower computers under my desk, it will get pretty hot down there.

Hence, I've been looking at this:

a Dell 27" All-IN-ONE

rather than this:

a Del XPS 8500
with this:

Viewsonic VX2235wm

Both have the same specifications except for the video card and the specs are a I7 3770 quad core processor, 8GB ram, and a 2TB 7200rpm hard drive. I do not feel that I need a high end video card for server applications.

Which setup do you folks think would be better? Give me some feedback. Remember, some of you will be playing on it....................

Agreed. Those specs are much higher than the one I used for my own UT3 servers and an UT3 server doesn't really (ab)use the video card.

well in most server applications the monitor is never on! so that should work.

Never mind, Dell gave me a deal. Since I decided that I didn't want to use my backup pc as the server, I was was looking for another pc. Dell came thru with a new XPS 8500 and threw in a new 24" monitor for less than a grand.

So, I went with the deal.

which ver of the XPS 8500?? the i5 or i7? LOL like it's gonna matter much since it'll be a server!

edit: oh and I was meaning the all in one since you was worried about space and heat ....but that's a mute point now LOL

you are also gonna need coders for the server as well, unless you already understand the language the game runs on
