In the UK the WRX Subaru come with a 340bph block as standard! It's V fast.

Just up the road from my house my friend runs a Jap import business. He has a 1000bhp rolling road and dymo testing station

His pride and joy is a 1023bhp Nissan Skyline. He took some video of us tearing up the road a couple of weeks ago and the noise of the engine is unreal. I'll get the clip off him and post it.

My TT doesn't get 297 bhp standard (all that power from a 1.8ltr!). It has;

Forge Motorsport - Fast Road Closed Loop Diverter Valve
Samco Silicone Turbo Hoses
BMC Carbon Dynamic Airbox
Aquamist Water Injection Kit
AMD stage 2 cpu remap
ECS Tuning Stage 5 Brake Conversion
Bilstein - B8 - Sprint Shock Absorbers
Forge Motorsport - Adjustable Tie Bars
Koni Ride Height Adjustable Coil Overs
Milltek High-Flow CATs
oh, and an armrest!

All these mods were supplied and fitted at my friends garage:

Yah, I wish they would sold my car like that. At least they have the STi here now. Those Skylines are REALLY nice!! They don't sell those here, but I like them. I've seen some wicked skyline videos. That's some nice parts you have on your car. Was it hard to work on? I feel funny working on my car in the garage since it is pretty new. How do you like that water injection? They have that for my car and I've contemplated it a few times. Also, that's cool that you dyno tuned it. They do that here also. Just really expensive to do. AWD dyno's are expensive, so they charge you a lot to put your car on there. My car is around 340HP. I'm going to try and get a little more out of it eventually. I have an aftermarket turbo on mine, but I'm still only running the stock boost of about 14.5psi, 1bar, .1kpa. Forgot, you guys use the metric system, but I'm not sure which you use for boost measurements.

aftermarket water sprayer, nice touch. gotta keep the intercooler cool if ya want the ponies. I love TT's, sharp sharp rides. Audi really fell on their face hear in America about 15 years ago with the supposedly deadly sticking throttle's, which by the way have since been disproved. Unfortunately for Audi the damage was done, and for about ten years they were pretty much out of business in the US. Glad they brought us the TT though, beautiful car great lines.

I was told by SVA imports to go for that particluar water cooling device. They fitted it at the same time as the cpu remap and suspension/brake upgrade so I couldn't tell you exactly what performance boost I got.

When I drove it out of their garage after a week of driving a company van I swear the acceleration receeded my hair line by an inch! To fix even suicidal blues all I need is 15 minutes in the TT!

Fortunately I've done alot of work for them with their internet site and setting up a remotely viewable ip camera system so I got an unbelievebly good deal.

After the inital launch of the TT in the UK there was a couple of hi speed crashes publicised which prompted a rapid recall. They were then fiitted with ESP (eletronic stability program) and EBD (electronic brakeforce distribution) and a spoiler. I've gotta say I've never really had the balls to test it to it's limit high speed. Been tempted to do a track day but the tyres are £180 each so it could get expensive. (That's around $325).

That sounds like what they do here when something goes wrong, they do a huge recall.

I would like to take my car on a track, but yes, they are expensive and I can't afford it. There is a good track in southern California that is good to go to because there are no walls or anything to crash into. If you go off the track, you just go into dirt. I have a few more suspension things I would like to do to my car and also a lighter flywheel. Not sure if you saw the video with my car in it, but it shows what I have done to it. Which reminds me, you see where my intercooler is, that is why I need one of those intercooler spray units. Having an intercooler on the top of the motor isn't exactly the best place when you consider heat soak.

Anyway, this is some of the suspension 'stuff' I want to get next.

Are you talking about Laguna Seca Cham? Or maybe Sears Point? Or possibly Willows?

Willows. Laguna would be fun, but I would need to feel very confident to drive MY car there.
