UCMP released another map pack...

Finally had a chance to check most of them out. I somehow forgot to try out Tayla and Virility, but here are my thoughts on the rest:

  • Elucidation: I like the simplicity of the map. Not a lot of frills. I had above average FPS with this map.
  • Mania: Mania was a bit odd, though interesting. It seemed like the creator threw a bunch of design themes together in a pot and mashed them together. There were some "+10 shield shards" in the shape of crosses scattered in the map.
  • Propaganda: This map was average, nothing really interesting here except for one small detail. There was one hiding room in the ceiling that looked as though monsters would have a hard time getting to. I'm not sure if the anti-camper would detect players up there, but I'm pretty sure the only monster that could travel in there would be the ghost skaarj.
  • Speos: It was alright. I explored part of the map by spectating. There were some floating structures towards the edge of the map that appeared as though players could travel to, but I was unable to get out there.

    I'll try the rest tomorrow most likely.
