I've never been able to play Betrayal because it crashes during the load screen every time. Betrayal is the only map that I am aware of that does this to my machine. Has anyone else had this problem or know of a fix?

Try redownloading (or downloading from the net instead of the server), might just be corrupted. Does it give you the error window when it crashes?

Well it turns out I downloaded the DC maps but didn't actually install them. Oy. Maybe that would help
