Experience is gained as a monster is damaged, rather than once it is dead; Adrenaline uses the latter method. So I'm wondering, would it be worth making a little patch that gave Adrenaline on a per-damage basis?

The AM class has that already. It's called Leech.

Quite honestly, it should be kept that way.

IMO, granting all classes adrenaline based on damage would greatly unbalance the classes.

Not to mention, with the addition of the Advanced Damage Bonus skill for LW players, they would have a particularly unfair advantage.

That's like saying characters with Advanced DB have an unfair advantage at killing enemies. It would be no different than it is now, as far as the amoutn of adrenaline you recieve, it will just be a lot smoother.

I also got another idea; adrenaline regeneration at low health. It would start at 25, and get faster as you near 0.

No, because there are class-specific skills which help create balance.....such as Leech....which combined with the triple makes it fairly easy for AM players to wipe out enemies quickly.

I think Dru has tweaked the balance issues enough so that there are not huge advantages/disadvantages to any one class.

Ah, well then, it will be balanced with damage-dealing as well.

So as an adrenaline master, you "vamp" adrenaline from your shots, not to mention that adrenaline masters are better equipped to go on big sprees that net them even more adrenaline.

Then there's also the Adrenal Surge after a kill that adrenaline masters get.

I'm *very* much opposed to granting similar skills to those that aren't adrenaline masters.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Long ago, we discussed doing this with points, but I'm assuming that adrenaline is different, and scoring is hardcoded into the gametype (though shouldn't that technically be pachable as well?)

Yes, just about everything is patchable, thanks to the way UT2004 is structured.
