Just thought I'd throw this out there... It might be a good idea for anyone using a custom skin to put a link to it in their signature. I saw a few others doing this and jumped on it as well, cuz its brilliant!

Anyway, if you dont know HTML, here is how you can have an active link in your signature.

Anyway, hope this is good for some peeps! Be sure to only replace the text seen in red, everything else stays, including the quotes. The blue text is what will appear in your signature. You can change that to whatever you prefer as well.

cheers.

Stephen: Stephen is my name. I'm the most wanted man on my island, except I'm not on my island, of course. More's the pity.
Hamish: "Your island"? You mean Ireland?
Stephen: Yeah. It's mine.
Hamish: You're a madman.
Stephen: I've come to the right place then!

What the... well, I feel sufficiently dumb now! For some reason I had it in my head that the bbcode didn't work in signatures.

Behold, the teacher becomes the student... so it goes.

In any case, skin link in signature goooood.

cheers.

Thanks for posting that, Wombat! I played with mine a bit if you can't tell.

The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams.

Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body. But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in hand, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming "WOO-HOO what a ride!"

BBCode URLs with text different than the destination:
Code:
 [url=http://www.disastrousconsequences.com]DC![/url]

Gives this:
DC!

And is the same as:
Code:
 <a href="http://www.disastrousconsequences.com" onclick="window.open('http://www.disastrousconsequences.com'); return false;">DC!</a>

Sorry, needed XHTML 1.0 Strict compliant code.
