Well, games and music were taken so I am asking about my own personal passion.

What are everyones favorites and just in general taste in movies?

Myself, I love Anime, hong kong style action, and just about anything i haven't seen before.

Ohhhhh..... You know the good stuff gooooooood . Movie wise, you would be hard pressed to find a category that I can't think of at least a half a dozen fantastic movies from.

When I really think about it, I'd probably class the original George A. Romero Dawn of the Dead as my all time favourite film. I pretty much grew up with it, first with heavily censored UK print, then importing the uncut version from Holland. I now currently own the super deluxe R1 version, although we now get the uncut version here.

In general terms, my favourite are those movies that leave an imprint on the mind due to their subject matter. Be they classics such as Rosemary's Baby and Lawrence of Arabia, or contemporary films such as Donnie Darko or Pi. I also have an obsession with 70's euro-trash - badly made films that just have this charm about them. The works of Jess Franco are particularly appealing.

My DVD collection is rather unhealthy; something along the lines of 800+. These are mostly US imports due to the currency conversion rate and the availability of superior products.

Gotta love the horror flicks of doooooom! Everything from, as said before, Rosemary's baby, Excorsist, Amityville horror, to Evil Dead and Army of Darkness. (all grades A through C like Raw Head Rex and Pumpkin Head ) Gore fest's also have their place.
Also like some war movies: Kelly's hero's (kinda funny) Dirty Dozen, Full Metal Jacket, Platoon, Heartbreak Ridge, etc...
Mental spirals are cool too... Jacob's Ladder, Dead Again, Silence of the Lambs (though that is horror too. As Well as The Stand)
Sci-fi : Sphere, Abyss, Alien (all), Star Ship Troopers(hilarious flick), really really love sci-fi/horror flick Event Horizone (scared the, ah, stuff out of me)
Adventure too.. Indiana Jones, Jurassic Park (1st and 2nd, didn't really like the third)
Like Pyro said, way too many to count, but here are some of my favorites.

I'm one of those people that just has to see a movie that looks good in the previews, whatever the critics say. My favorite types of movies are sci-fi/action (like I-Robot, Lord of the Rings, Underworld, Spiderman, Hulk, etc.), and comedy/action (like Rush Hour, Legend of Drunken Master, Bad Boys, etc.)
I've seen almost every Jackie Chan movie and all the Will Smith movies (My favorite actors, lol.)

~you gotta love anybody that does there own stunts~

plus some of the animated movies like Shrek, Ice Age, SpongeBob SquarePants Movie (its comedy.... i guess), Shark Tale, etc.

Spaceballs is a classic! I like the part where they are watching the movie and stop right on "now" this is now. Now? Yes, Now, that was then, this is now.... lmao

Best line though is:
I'm a Mog, half man half dog, I'm my own best friend.

I've never even heard of Spaceballs.
Now Space Jam (the Looney Toons movie with Michael Jordan) was funny.

OMG you never heard of spaceballs? Where have you been mannnn! Written by Mel Brooks, one of the best comedy writters of all time (imho). Same guy who did Blazing Saddles, among others. Dude, you have got to go and at least rent it, if not buy it, its hilarious.
