Ok, so when life was a little bit too easy on DC, I knocked up some extra monsters. I thought it might make life a little more interesting. Druid suggested I posted here, for feedback.

Basically the monsters were just variations of the existing monsters, rather than anything exciting. No new static meshes or anything complex like that.

  • We currently have metal skaarj. Essentially a normal skaarj with a reflective coat. Ok, so now you can also have Metal versions of the EliteKrall, Behemoth, Manta, GiantGasbag, MercenaryElite, Slith, Titan and Warlord. Note that the Metal Giant Gasbag does not spawn children (well - it is made of metal!). Most have one extra score point above the original, with about 20 extra health. The Titan is a lot more health.

  • I also added four Ghost monsters. These fly and in theory do not take knockback, but I am not sure I finished that bit. They are the Behemoth, Slith, Skaarj and Titan. The Titan has less health than normal (it's a light weight!) Basically the same old monster with a different skin, and the fly bit set.

    There are eight extra monsters.
  • LaserKrall and LaserBehemoth. Invisible except when firing. Different projectile types.
  • BlastKrall - just a green krall really firing green ammo.
  • BioSkaarj - skaarj firing bio shots. Bright red.
  • ShellGasBag - a blue gasbag firing flak shells
  • BeamWarlord - fires krall-style shots rather than rockets. You can't stand still and let them miss you
  • PoisonPupae - a bright green pupae that poisons you when it bites (like a poison weapon)
  • IceKrall - a blue/white krall, that freezes you for a second. Could be longer (like a freezing weapon)

I don't want to suggest that all of them would be useful. However, ones like the PoisonPupae and the IceKrall do spice it up a bit.

They could go in as monsters, or pets, or both.

I would probably suggest the Metal Titan for wave 14, the Ghost skaarj for wave 12, the LaserKrall and PoisonPupae for waves 4/5, and the BioSkaarj and IceKrall for waves 7/8. Obviously the health etc needs setting according to what we want from them.

    Any thoughts or suggestions?

Well, I don't know if we really need more monsters. It's problematic enough that every new level of Loaded Monsters adds another icon or two to the artifacts for a medic ...

But hey, I'm just saying, it's a lot of having to scroll through ...

I'd really like to see some new monsters and these sound pretty cool. On the medic side they seem to have a lot of monsters to summon already, I don't know if they really need each variation. I can't say too much on that since I haven't made it high enough to summon yet, but I don't think they'd need to be added to the summons list. I'd just have fun killing them... those are just my thoughts.

Agreed with Pyra. I'd love to go head to head with a metal titan.

Oh yeah - to kill there's no question: More monsters!

To summon though ... "Okay where's that monster again?"

Heya Szlat. Once we get you access to cvs, let's make another module for this. A lot of these ideas seem unique and quite cool.

I'm not quite sure what to do about the wave config, but we can figure that out after we get all your stuff centralized

    Sound good?

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Sounds good to me. They will need balancing for damage, health etc anyway.

Initial version now put under DCMonsterscvs in cvs (Not DruidsRPGcvs).

They are nothing special, but could add a bit of variety.

If you want things to get really difficult, I can knock up a Queen that fires poison (well the projectiles are already green!), and that spews out poison pupae. Could even make it explode poison globs when it dies.

Or how about a gasbag that draws you to it and then lets you fall? (negative knockback)

Or a pupae that when it bites you it explodes - not much damage but sends you soaring?

Or a warlord with a vampire laser, so it regains health as it damages you.

Could obviously give warlords small redeemers, but that's a bit boring.

    Or a small fast titan?

I love these ideas, especially the gasbag one... could be so much fun to be randomly swooped away lol...
