also if u put the mentos in the diet coke with the tin wraper or how ever u can get then to go in fast. Then u close the cap shake the bottle and throw it on the ground and it will go flying in the air very much fun just takes some practice.

My Friends an I have talked about that last year an all. We came up with one concerning question.... What happens if you drink the soda and then eat the mentos?

None of us want to try it.. Maybe you do? lol

Actually drink? I don't know...if you get a mouthful of Diet Coke (without swallowing it) and add a Mento (is Mento the singular of Mentos?), the pressure will open your lips. Srsly.

Actually a person I know tried it, drank half the bottle then ate some mentos... he said he felt fine, but who knows he was kind of an odd guy . We ran into the same problem though, nobody else would dare to do it... I know i wouldn't lol.

I'm not entirely sure about the chemical processes and the acidity of mentos and diet cola, but I think that the stomach acid might stop the reaction, or slow it down.

I remember seeing a video on youtube where someone drank an entire bottle of pepsi (not sure if it was Diet or not) and ate , and lots of it was just spilled on her shirt) and swallowed a few mentos, but I don't remember what happened after that.

Its been a while since I've seen that.

They actually had a deal for this on Myth Busters.................

Seems there are three ingredients that all react to Mentos on their own, when combined........look out.
