I was wondering if anyone knew a possible fix to this problem.
I joined the DC server a few weeks ago and enjoyed the rpg experience. My friend and I however like to play by ourselves so we though of trying LAN (I'm on my desktop him on my laptop). Both of us run the game fine instant action but when any one of us joins the other's game the player that joined has no weapons, can't pick any up, and/or missing HUD that you can't turn back on.

I noticed this when I had someone else upload the files to his server for setup...

He misplaced the Classes folder and files into the wrong directory on his server, and we had the same things you are explaining.

Make sure whomever is running the server has the correct directory structure for the files
example.
correct = " C://UT2004/UT2004RPG/Classes/ "
incorrect = " C://UT2004/Classes/ "

I don't know why he made that mistake, but it caused the same problems you are having.

Hope that helps... Open up the level HUD and see if all the abilities show correctly at the bottom.

EDIT: Haha, Vortex is probably right...
Prerequisite = "Read the readme files"

On the computer that is hosting, you either need to choose 'Listen Server' or if you want to use a dedicated server, then you need to add 'serverpackages=' lines to the configuration file so that the client connecting knows it should utilize the mutators in the list.

ServerPackages=UT2004RPG
ServerPackages=DruidsRPGxxx

repeat this for any mutators and such you are using that dont come with the game.

That tip about Classes has nothing to do with this. That is only used if you wish to recompile the source code after altering it. The only files and folders that are relavent to making RPG work properly are the stuff that goes into the System or Textures folders, etc.
