I've been on this server on and off for about a year, and will soon have a fairly decent amount of income, and I'd like to become a contributor. I don't think I'll have the spare required to pay $60 every four months, but I would very much like to contribute something to ensure that the sole reason for my playing UT2k4 stays active and enjoyable.

My question is as follows: How much of a donation is required to become a plain contributor? And, I've heard that changing a name while keeping stats is valid if one emails the Admin? Will that work if I change my name from Icey to (DC)Icey ?

I apologize if the bracket choice for my future DC is incorrect, and I hope no one takes it to offense. As usual, thanks for any advice and responses, and I'll be on sometime early morning EST to shoot things in the face! :D

If Tom has 5 Apples and Suzie has 7 apples, how tall is Matt? (There is a real answer to this question)

Icey. To become a full contribitor, you need to give $60. That gets you the space on the server and the DC tag. When you become a contri. you can ask dru and shan if they can but the DC tag on, reason why you have to ask is because so many people play on other servers and dont like changing there name everytime they enter the servers for other places. I hope that I answered your question on this matter. If you just wanted to donate, then any amount would be nice, but to be a contri. you have to give $60.

Icey, if you're main deal is you just want to throw a tip in the jar, you can do so with any amount as I understand. To get a "reserve slot" so you can play whenever, you have to contribute 60 smackers.

You'll notice on the contributors page there are contributors and "reserve slot contributors".

As an aside, I have to say, the best thing about the being a contributor is the Sauna and Hot Tub. There's this debate in the Contributor Forum right now about whether that's the best benefit or the Season Tickets to DisneyLand.

And of course that Dinner with Michael Jordon thing they do every Teusday. Man, that guy just has no sense of humor. Yeah, I'm dissin' MJ, so what? Also, no one will leave me alone about how I turned down Britney Spears when she asked me for a date at the monthly Social back in February. Seriously, everybody! I'm telling you she was gassy, and blaming it on the busboy. It was awful. She really needs more fruit in her diet. I kept thinking to myself, wow, they're so loud I bet the mic picks them up at her concerts.

Anyway, yeah, contributions of any amount are appreciated, I'm sure.

Those pitiful non-contributers aren't supposed to know about all our benefits 320! Too funny, man!

From what I know, the tag (DC) goes to all contributors, no matter the amount, reserved slot or otherwise. Donations of any size would be welcome and the amount is up to you.

Of course, the more the better as it provides funding for other cool stuff like the new server Dru has been working on. But, do what is in your heart and that will be the right amount.

Oh, and 320, I have a question for you. Is there a door or something that leads to that fantasy world you live in. I would rather like to move in there, sounds pretty nice!!

320, you really shouldn't blame poor Brittney. We did have quite a bit of catered Mexican food that night. I think I saw her eat 3 enchiladas....

Great post!

Last I heard:

(DC) Reserved slot (at least at one time)
[DC] Regular contributors

Not that it really matters, but I can be very detail oriented.

As for the whole thing with Rebecca, I hope John Stamos doesn't still blame me ...

And Britney these days ... she's the epitome of a blonde joke.

Can't make it, even though that's my favorite ride at Disney.

Remember that little incident where I drank that stuff Vince Vaughn had in that Genie Lamp he pulled out of his trunk? Well, then I kept chasing Jon all over the place demanding he tell me what was really eating Gilbert Grape. "What's eating Gilbert Grape, Jon? Huh? TELL ME! I watched the movie and nobody got eaten! That title is so misleading!"

I wouldn't let up and I think the joke ran thin pretty quick. Why he didn't call security on me I'll never know.

Am I upset with Vince? Heck no. You're not gonna believe this, but at this very moment Jennifer is making me an omlette. So I guess that means I win the twenty bucks, eh Bot? Oh, and real funny paying last time in all pennies. Hilarious. What's next? Confederate dollars?

Look I got to get going. The DC yacht is rounding the far side of Catalina Island and the satcom uplink is always a little shaky there. I might check in later but it's always tough to fly a Tomcat and type at the same time.

To everyone that's responded, thank you for the information, it helps. If I could afford to send in the $60, I gladly would since just about every player on the DC server is awesome.

To 320, specifically...... Wow, is the only thing I can come up with immediately. I honestly can't come up with anything, so I'ma end this post now.

IIRC, the bet was that you had to eat all of an omlette she made, not her nutritionist. I still say that's impossible. At least keeping it all down will be.

No slam on Jennifer ... but there are just some things she just can't cook!
