Had a question for dru...

Dru is there anyway since there is no cussing on the server to change at the bottom of the screen when it says "HOLY *BEEP* KILL" and "Combo *BEEP*" To something more approp.Just wondering

There is a flaw in the game code. If you turn off mature language it wont say HOLY **** through the speakers but when you press F3 it still shows the full words next to all your other multi kills. Kind of a big oversight in my opinion.

As for the change it would take, I dont know if it can be done. If the code is anything like when I tried to replace the Booster combo with another one, it probably wont work for online servers.

Thanks vortex it doesn't bother me at all.I was just looking out for the other people and kids that play here.

I wouldn't call it an oversight, the game is rated Mature. Surprised they even have an option to censor out mature taunts.

I wrote the combo/scoring code to take into account mature taunts, which you can turn off and it then displays the less mature text/voice.

Yes I agree that since the game is rated M that no one under 17 should be playing it unless their parents have said it is ok. And in that case their parents must acknowledge that it is okay for their kids to see and hear some foul language and blood in a game.

I realize the code is Epic's not yours Druid, but IF you were making a game and wanted to include an option to remove bad language, don't you think the programmers should get ALL of it? All other matters aside, the programmers slipped up when it comes to the removal of language in the game.
