Well, PXE is definitely your computer's attempt to boot from the network. The things I can think of to check right off the top are boot order and whether or not your disk adapter is active and seeing the disks. You could have things set so that your network interface is a much higher priority (or forced to boot from the net), which is why the first part. The second...well, it addresses things like disabling the hda, or flipping the cables around (easy to do), etc.

Luck!

you might wanna make sure your computer bios is set to the correct type of video... you can change it from pci to agp in bios... try clicking the opposit one of which its set at now ... to get into bios.. start the comp up. and keep pressing delete or f4 and youll hit bios setup .. make sure its on pci or agp depending on your card type..

PXE is a boot related item. I would make sure that your boot order had nothing at a higher priority than the floppy, cdrom and HDD. But you will also want to check around and make sure that between the main part of the bios and the PXE settings (some systems will have a second "bios" area for things like PXE, a SCSI or RAID HBA, etc, and will typically display a message like "Press CTRL-S to enter PXE settings") do not override that boot order. I have some NICs and even a few MB bios version which say to always try PXE before booting from the HD, but in those cases, they typically will fall through.

Check over the manual for your motherboard and check the "Boot device priority" section in your bios. If you have a raid set up make you you check the BIOS in your raid Controller as well for HD health. If these settings dont make your hard drive show up and system still does not boot. Boot off the Windows cd by setting CDrom to be bootable in the bios. Then press any key to enter Setup. If no hard drive found try another one. If a known good hard drive will not show up then your Motherboard is Toast. Also if you are using a SATA or IDE pci or pci-x controller card make you have the driver on the floppy so when Windows set up says HIT F6 to load drivers you have it or the drives will not show up. Any questions or any info to add feel free, I do this crap for a living haha

Is the only thing you've changed since last successful boot the video card? If so is it pci-e or agp? And give us the motherboard model your using.

These guys are on the right track, it is definately a boot sequencing issue. Something has priority in the boot sequence that either does not exist or is failing.

If at first you don't friccasee, fry, fry a hen.
