Ok, I know this sounds dumb and all, but can anyone tell me how to use one of the skins for the game? I mean, where do I put it in the files so I can play with it.

For the ones posted to the forum:

Either within the zip they will be in the proper folders so that if you unzipped it into your UT2004 directory (not "System", but the main UT2004 directory), they'll go into the right places ... otherwise ...

Look for a readme.txt in the zip that will tell you where to put which files.

I use the Futurama Prof. Farnsworth Skin: http://www.disastrousconsequences.com/dcforum/posts/list/1595.page

*.upl Goes in UT2004\System

*.utx Goes in UT2004\Textures

*.ukx Goes in UT2004\Animations

*.kat Goes in UT2004\Karma

Thats basically the only files you need to worry about for a skin or model

If you're talking about in the UT menu, then go into settings, then click on the "player" tab where you can "change skin" on the left side... just pick the right skin and press ok and exit... it should show up from there on.

It's not uncommon that you have to die or leave the server for a skin change to take place if you are changing in game.

good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.
