i'm having some trouble installing a mod from your server into my own (a private server that I use for tests and what not). If it works well and other admins in the nexxus rpg server agree we might use this mod in your server as well. it's the player agreement mod that i'm having troubles with. I can't find the correct .ini to place the "ServerActor=" part into/change. i'v checked all of my .ini's and can't seem to find it...

Those lines go into the .ini file your server gets all of its settings from.

If you host the server from inside the game, then its the UT2004.ini.
If you host the server from a batch file, then it is whatever ini file is specified in the batch file command line.

we're still having problems with the mod. I'v tired every last thing I can think of, followed the read-me to the letter and copied inu's post in our boards for hte playeragreement.ini

Only thing I can think of is that prehaps I didn't copy these correctly. there where added into the ut2004.ini for our server exactly as i'm posting them up here. (in the correct order of course)

ServerPackage=DruidsPlayerAgreement
ServerActor=DruidsPlayerAgreement

Do I need to change the "DruidsPlayerAgreement" part to something else?

'ServerActor=DruidsPlayerAgreement.PlayerAgreementServerActor'

this is the mistake. its a typo in the readme that hasnt been corrected.

that was causing me trouble as well, kept crashing the server down before it got going

still nothing...

This is our playeragreement.ini file.

[DruidsPlayerAgreement.PlayerAgreementManager]
Agreement=----------------------------------------THE RULES---------------------------------------|1)NO TEAM KILLING 2)NO SPAMMING MIC OR TEXT 3.) Do NOT exploit map/mutator glitches! 4.) Sitting on weapon/items spawn points for extended periods of time will not be allowed. 5.) ANY sexual harassment to ANY players will not NOT be tollerated and you WILL be kicked upon sight for such actions. If a admin says STOP then stop what you are doing and ask only after you have stoped what you where doing wrong and do not continue untill you understand. If you get kicked/banned and you feel it was unjust take it to the forums. Arguing with a admin about it in-game can result in being permabanned. For more detailed rules go to www.utxtreme.com and read up! Or if you have questions or want to place a comment about the server then the forums are there as well!

Ok ok I got it, one more typo in the readme.

It should read

ServerPackages=DruidsPlayerAgreement

I forgot there is an 's' missing from the line in the readme.
Also, make sure in the player agreement .ini you put a | character every so often. Otherwise the line might run off the agreement page and not be seen.

Ok, I did that and then the server wouldn't even start up so I had to set it back to "Serverpackage="...

I'll bring up everything that I added as far as this mod tomorrow night and let ya look over it. I'v looked over it all and everything is as it should be according to the read-me and your help.

actually, here it is right here.

ServerActor=DruidsPlayerAgreement.PlayerAgreementServerActor
ServerPackages=DruidsPlayerAgreement
The second line, when I include the "s" causes the server not to start...

and then the playeragreement.ini that I posted up before. So unless there is something wrong with the DruidsPlayerAgreement.u file it should work.

ServerActors=DruidsPlayerAgreement.PlayerAgreementServerActor

Well at any rate the s has to be on both lines as it is on the other lines of the same name. Compare them to the other ServerActors= and ServerPackages= lines.

If its still causing crashes, copy the part of the log that shows the crash and post it along with the exact set of lines you are using in the .ini file. Maybe if we can see what the game says about the crashes we can fix it.

that's just it. This server isn't home run, it's ran by nexxus (whom lives in canada) through a server host here in the U.S. so there arn't any crash reports to give you. Just the simple fact that the server own't start when those are added. I'm going to check the spelling and make sure everything is exactly as it should be though...

So the server doesnt generate a crashlog.txt file at all?

If so thats too bad, it helps alot in situations like these.

it works now, double checked the spelling and found a mistake, also re-added the s's and it works just fine now.

we're thinking about adding a few more mods and if I have any trouble with those I might just contact you again, seeing as how you have a few of the mods.
