So here are my thoughts on Spiderman 3. I saw the movie last night and couldn't wait... the other 2 were fantastic. The movie is all around good, but it's a bit too cheesy for it's dark subject. There are about 4 plot lines that are all running at once so it's quite a heavily packed movie, which is good, but concentrates less on certain aspects of key moments in the story. This one sways a bit further from the comics, but is still close to being accurate.

Enough with the bad though.... the action is very cool and Venom is awesome. I don't think it's as good as the previous movies, but it's still a fun and enjoyable movie...especially if you loved the other two! I'm going to give it a 7.9/10 .

We saw it as well. One of our major theatres here in Columbus had like 6 screens dedicated to it, and they were all selling out. Like Pyra says, a bit complicated and such, but a great movie... got to have it in the collection as soon as it comes out.

BTW... the blonde model who is a classmate of Peters... that is Ron Howard's (AKA Opie or Richie of Happy Days fame) daughter. And the girl who sells the camera... that is Rami's daughter.

Go see it if you have not... this one will definitely be better on the big screen!

I'm still debating whether or not I want to see Spiderman 3. The first one was 'ok', but I didn't really like the second one all that much. So far, I haven't been a fan of the comic book movies. Fantastic 4 was not only the worst of all the comic movies, but it be one of the worst movies I've ever seen. I may wait and rent Spiderman 3. Boingo and I watched 'Night at the Museum' today on DVD. It was ok, nothing to write home about. It wasn't packed with comedy as one might think considering the actors that are in it.

...so glad I live in Utah where a rotten movie experience will still only run me $7.50 on opening night...

Spidermans....meh, they're ok. Huge fan of the books growing up, thought the movies have done well, just not terribly captivating. Didn't see #2 for nearly a year after it hit dvd. Venom is my fav villain of all time tho...him, or Carnage, tough call. So yeah, #3 does have that goin for it...Topher Grace was a bizarre casting tho

Pirates and Potter are 2 franchises I deem worthy of midnight showings tho, good stuff! Gotta reread potter 5 tho, before the flick hits...

WOW, just got back from opening nite of the Pirates of the Caribbean, At World's End. 2 1/2 hours of Captain Sparrow. No details will be released, but worth the cost of entry.

I thought Spiderman 3 overall was very entertaining. If one more stinking person cried I would have had to leave the theater though. Seriousely, sob fest, just pathetic. I don't care for Topher Grace one bit, but he did a fantastic job with Venom. I'm really looking forward to FF2, I'm a huge Silver Surfer fan. And for anyone who has not seen Pan's Labrynth yet, WOW.
Do NOT take the kids to see this, super dark and some exceptionally graphic violence, but an amazingly well done story. The same director as FF I might add. Oh yeah, almost forgot Rambo IV. I'm not a fan of Rambo movies post First Blood which was grossly underrated, but it looks like they put some 21st century carnage in this one. I will be paying for a ticket.

good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.

I second that motion! 9/10 stars in my book.

Also seconding the Pan's Labyrinth motion...again 11/10 stars.

I think Boingo and I are going to go see the new Pirates movie some time next week. I'm going in with low expectations, however. Most of the reviews I've gone through haven't said much in the way of positive things. I'm going to wait and rent Spiderman 3 most likely. I would like to check out Pan's Lab, however. I think it comes out soon. 300 comes out in July as well.

That Rambo movie looks like a more violent version of the second Rambo movie.

It's better than most of the reviews state.

Saw Pirates at the drive-in this Sunday. Was suprisingly dark compared to the other two (I liked it), but it was shot "dark" too, so I couln't see much of the fight scenes due to the drive-in screen. Will like it much better on DVD. The pre-ending (the true ending of the jack/elizibeth/will adventure) was not totally expected by me. Was nicely done though all in all. P4 on the way? We shall see.
