Well it's half working lol.

For some reason every class has Limit Breaker skill (don't even know who suppoed to have it). And to make things even more confusing, Hoarding keeps reappearing as an ability to add no matter how many times I've re-copied it back to say its removed.

Also I'm having the same problems as you so it's not a server issue. I have to reconnect just to display the class I've bought and a subclass completly crashes the game on reconnect. And thats offline!

Just out of curiosity, how'd you get the ini file anyways? I've tried using an cache extractor and all I get is the .u file... i even had to make my own .int file just to get to use it in UT

Made my *.int and *.ucl files
Exported Classes Subclasses using UnrealEd to have a Folder DRUIDSRPG226>Classes (with the *.UC Files in it)
Tried to copy some of the DEFAULTPROPERTIES (at the end of the files) to the classes that were pointing to UT2004RPG.ini into my "Test" UT2004RPG.ini

Played a bit with some stuffs and settings to make it work (except subclasses) xD

And used this ==> THIS (but it is not the "updated" one, so...)

So in other words.....it was complicated lol

Well gd thing I keep a backup of my UT in a rar file (2gb ) with it all setup perfectly before I make a mess of the game so it's easily restorable

Well tbh, I think you have done a rather gd job getting it working as far as you have.

I think Dru is keeping the sub-class to the server and not letting it all out. it seemed like everyone and their brother was getting dru's mod and using it to make their on server and that had the effect of the DC not being a unique server with something no one else has! Altho his mod's are highly configurable to make it just they way you want for your server it does make alot of similar servers and that does make it hard to distinguish from other servers.
I played on 3 or 4 others before find DC and IMO this is the best server we do have old timers that vanish for a bit but they always come back!

Now as to try'n to make the RPG work on your side for the class/sub-class thing I think it might be wise to dbl check what dru has up about his code and if its ok to go missing with it with out it being a public release..( might be stepping on some toes)

I may be getting old and falling apart but I can sure can raise Hell and have fun doing it!

Just for a quick answer, but :
* Just spend 2 minutes browsing Redirect servers, you'll see that LOT of People got the same version (DruidsRPG226) working. Good part of them got Subclasses working as well (IE : Tony Unrealm, ODC, etc...), so for the "unique" thing, it is not this way that you need to look imo.

* DC was, is and will still be UNIQUE, just as it is DC (and imo, the "real" Home of INV RPG), no need to add something more...

Now, I posted here to try to get some help, bt it seems, that it doesn't works a lot, seeing answers i got for the moment if you look well the Original Post Question asked...

I thought that if not Dru, Slatz would have answered something like :
* "I help you when i got time" ...
* "Or no ! I don't want to help you..."
* "Or Try to do this... to fix your problem"...

Not even that !

I still have no "real" answer, but I'll continue untill I'll find

Just hope that nice people will help me, it will go faster as it

I understand your problem and everything you have said. Right now, tho, the server is not Dru and Shan's highest priority as it has been in the past. Time and monies have been devoted elsewhere.

Szlat, also, has other things he needs to do. At this point, I'm the only admin of 10 admins on the srver regularly.

Part of the problem is a older game that "refuses" to die............and most folks cannot afford the computer necessary to play any version of UT3 invasion.

Bear with it for a while. I'm sure that Dru and Shan will be back once things have calmed down in their professional lives.

And until Dru or Shan give permission for the latest versions to be used elsewhere, I am afraid I cannot provide any assistance. It is their code.

Ok, no problem, this I understand.

But even if i nderstand I may say that I am not totaly agree with some part of your sentence Szlat

the code IS released, as the *.u file (and then the *.UC Files too) are downloaded to public clients joining the server.

The *.Ini File ISN'T public Released atm (...but is this count as code ?)

Just a question about it (i am curious) :
- why some of the *.UC Files "default property" don't go by themselves in the *.ini file on recreating it, and some go fill it ? (if they had all got copied in the process, I won't have to ask to unlock Subclasses... )

Dru understands software development, and believes in intellectual property right. Just because you can get something running without permission does not mean you should.

As far as the default properties is concerned, some are configured by default in the code, and in some cases these might write their details back out to the ini file. This will be the coded default, and not necessarily what it should be. For other bits of code, the configuration is only in the ini file, with perhaps only a dummy entry as a placeholder in the code. These will not write sensible configurations out to the ini file.

well Szlat...

Could you release a list of all the abilities and their settings such as what monsters you get for monster masters at what level? Would help my character builder immensly and its not breaking any code violations, just after server settings.

Shame you can't get it working offline tho, but if it does indeed require breaking into and editing the code, then I'd rather wait until druid says its ok to be released as like you said, his code, his discretion.

Sorry Anthrax for the lack of help but I wouldn't know where to start as not a UT person only when it comes to playing it So you can try to get it working but like Szlat says, its druids, and it he catches you, he could send the police around to your house, seize your assets and even raid the fridge for the angel fruitcake you like to much... and you wouldn't want that would you?

Why do you think i came make a BIG POST in DC forums ?

If i wanted to "steal" or do "secret" things i wouldn't have done that

I want Dru to know that I use his nice work, I got nothing to hide.

I stayed in the spirit that Dru had when he made "DruidsRPG" and some "School" Threads in THIS forum about how to code, adapt things to servers, etc... from his work

Check the Forum here and you'll see xD

The only thing is that these Threads are dying because as Szlat said, he doesn't have time atm to manage all website, server, DruidsRPG releases... so he have even less time to continue this, but it seems that it was the "Goal" at the begining, (Share the knowledge and help each others)

The only thing boring here atm, is that there is only 24H in a Day

Well you know, I blame UT3 for the dieing of the forums. If that was as awesome a release as when ut2004 first came out then there'd still be players playing that and thus visiting this site....but thats another story.

You know what I hate the most? that aweful thing called 'real life'...always getting in the way and leaving less time to be devoted to real persuits...like UT2012 with RPG v1 million.

So ye, I can understand why you'r trying to get it to work and I secretly hope you do but I'm just saying 'be careful all ye who enter here' and stuff

Ok, now I was able to do some testing and found the reason of my Confusion:
--> VehicleInvasion116 Mutator !!!

This Mutator got some functions about InvasionHUD it seems (that i don't even use, but seems to get loaded on server...) and It creates a BUG with DruidsRPG226 (Maybe because of the things relying on HUD there...).

Made some tests WITHOUT VehicleInvasion116 and ALL works Fine...!

So, now i need to find a way to be able to play ONS Maps (With Vehicules Spawned, cause without, it is not hard...) on Invasion ...

Anyone got an ideas on how to do (it can prevent me the work of recompile VehicleInvasion116 to delete HUD stuffs to try to fix it...), so any ideas ?

P.S. : I posted this to let Szlat Know about this Compatibility problem (don't know if it will help you in future, but now yo got the info mate ! )

ok, NOW, all problems are FIXED !

Improved the RPG with some new ablities, spells, artifacts, magic, and monsters, in a BIG *.U file

Works nice and allow to have some VehicleInvasion-116 stuffs in it too, without the ones that was conflicting with all the rest
