I am not at all sure Druid will want all that extra data stored server side. The player configuration data is already massive. To have up to 7 copies per player would not get a happy smile. So I think this will be on hold until Druid gives a definite yes.

In the meantime, I will look at adding an extra button on the StatsMenu screen so instead of buying an ability one level at a time, you can just max it in one click.

I will not implement a once-per-map check unless it looks like it is being exploited. So it is up to the high levels at the moment. If it does get exploited, it may be limited to one change a day. Or per map. Or once a week. Depending on Druid's view. He may even go for a 20 point penalty for changing.

Didn't think about the storage hit this would cause...definitely something to consider. The buy everything button wont work when it's opened up to the other level players as they wont have enuf points to max everything. Any I don't buy Awareness as I don't like the extra lines over everything.. Doesn't tell me any more than the color of the dots on the radar and adds clutter. But, the only time I would change classes it to try one or play a different type of game type...DM or TDM, where my zerker get's spanked.

I don't think it's necessary to store this data server-side. You can just store the script with build, that calls buying functions (just as they called when you press buy button), so if some "brainy" tries to edit script file - he'll get the same result, as if he manually buys all the things (so no more checks to imlement).

As for penalties - please, don't use points. I don't lvld up enough to get to subclass age, so when I do - I (and many more newbies in it here, I think) will try many classes, before I definitely pick one, and with 6 points every level - every point is essential. So, if you want to make a border - one change every map would be the best choice.
P.S. On some servers I saw mutator, that saves session, even you get disonnected (and with engi's it happens very often), so you could use it, and add a few lines to control subclass changing.

p.p.s. a newbie to subclass theme question - can it really be freely changed anytime and can I rever back to main class?

MrAndrew: Yes. You will automaticly disconnect after you hit Sell button and then connect as your basic class. You can either stay as pure class or hit Buy and select subclass of your choice.

^The statement above might be false^
