I was dead and spectating-Zog was the only player alive and I got this critical error:

All these crashes are the same, with the text
(InteractionMaster Package.InteractionMaster, Function Engine.InteractionMaster.Process_PostRender)

I still haven't managed to get it to happen on my test system.

Here's a thought. I am thinking that they might be caused by one player spectating another player. One of Demon's was definitely spectating. I think mine was as I died (and would switch to spectating).

So quick poll for information - did anyone get this crash when it was just them and bots playing? And did anyone get this error when they know for definite they didn't die - e.g. between waves or safely hidden in a base?

ok it just crashed again and i was rejoin'n after die'n during the last wave seems to be crash'n at the start of the wave for me tonite

Hmmm, gut feeling is the spectating part. On the 2nd one, I had just died and would have been spectating if I'd stayed.

Shooting at a fly or something in Tundra Classic. Most of the crashes I get are message from Windows saying a critical error occurred and the application mush shut down. But it seems this type is getting to be prevalent these days.

I have managed to duplicate this error once on my test system, so finally making progress.

I believe it is to do with things not being cleaned up properly when you die. Once it has gone wrong, I think either then, or when you respawn, or at some future point, it will crash.

So, has anyone had this problem WITHOUT having died first? Please tell me if you have. Thanks

Me!! it crashed 3 times with me alive and the next wave stats in.CRASH!! or it might have counted one or two numbers

also this is the new GENERAL class I have been play'n

and I very rarely spectate like maybe 40% of the time, and with the new char I've been look'n at the menu to see what to get or just watch from where I die. But as I've said the wave ended and the announcer starts and BOOM! crash city

Ok, I may have found the problem. Have submitted a change to cvs, so it might be fixed in the next build.
