Cont, in order to load Windows onto any Raid array, you need to pre-load the drivers for the controller device. You will see an option to do so when Windows setup asks you to press F6 for any mass storage drivers. You'll need to have them on a floppy since it's the only place the OS will look for them. Check your mobo website for these and instructions on how to implement them. A word of warning; some motherboards have early iterations of the SATA controllers that just won't work reliably as boot devices. Also, most tests prove that a 2 disk array in RAID 0 will give you the greatest speed, as IO utuilization and access times tend to increase significantly with more drives. Most drive transfers done uinder Windows aren't big or contiguous enough to take advantage of the increased transfer rate an array can give you, notable exceptions being video editing and 3D modeling, both of which use extremely large files. In those cases, the fantastic write times of these arrays can be a great beneift. For more information, you check with www.storagereview.com . Yeah I loaded the drivers during setup, after creating array in bios.. I decided to get a sata controller instead of using the one on the motherboard because I had problems with it and from what I heard the Asus K8V had some quirks with its onboard SATA controller oh well I'll just keep the OS on a IDE and use the array for files and apps
