Go (Northern) Indiana!

You mean I really am important? How I feel when I'm drunk is correct?

I live in Michigan, to my knowledge a 'snow emergency' has never happened in my lifetime. Michigan is one of those states (only about 6 of them) that know what to do in the snow no matter how deep. We dont shut anything down unless the snow has buried the building and front end loaders have to clear the front door.

I have seen days where the weatherman will tell you not to travel unless you have to. But on those same days the boss is saying, 'If you dont show up to work you lose a day's pay.'

I have known Michigan to have declared level 3 snow emergencies...but it was not for snow, but rather for freezing rain/sleet. And I will admit that the one time to which I was referring was for ice, but that same winter, we also had a lvl 3 due to snow. And this was in Fort Wayne, IN.

Of course, I have also driven in snow storms where you would not have wanted to, and I really should not have been driving. One of those times was in MI, where I drove straight through the I-69/I-94 interchange without knowing it, while doing maybe 30MPH, if I were lucky. Another time, we drove from Marietta, OH back to FWA, and between Columbus and FWA, instead of 3 hours, it took us nearly 12, due to snow.
