I'm not willing to bring a purse to the theatre Boingo so sneaking food in is out for me...Although once upon a time I did go that extra mile and snuck a six pack of Rolling Rock in, ah good times.

P.S. I highly recommend against sneaking beer into the theatre, it takes a lot to get the police called on you at the theatre but this qualifies.

Use a hoody, I don't carry a purse.

And I'm curious....where did you put that six pack?

I spread it around, two in the center pocket of the hoody (yes I said hoody, I have about ten of them. Love the hoody) and one in each sleeve, one on the waste band of the pants and I believe one in my sock. The wasteband was a bad idea, cold beer bottle and lower back is an awkward feeling.

Boingo really doesn't carry a purse. She has other means of carrying things.

Is that the big theatre (IMAX IIRC) in the shopping complex just across in Dublin, Cham?? Looks like a great theatre, but it also looks like you pay for it. I almost saw Star Wars opening night when out there in May, but I figured my boss would rather I got some sleep instead of being up to see the opening. Besides, I wanted to see it with the wife and daughter first.

(For those of you who do not know, my company is in the same town where Cham lives, and they generally want me out there every 3 months or so).

Into This:

(the picture is blurry because I'm still messing with my new camera, trying to figure out the right settings, etc. The projector is actually extremely definitive.)

edit: Resized pics for h-scroll
edit2: Serenity ROCKED you GOTTA watch the firefly series =). Just bought the dvds

Yes sir, that would be the one. It is really expensive.

I bought a 50" plasma HDTV a few weeks ago, unfortunately it still won't be here for a couple more weeks. And any time you take a picture in low light like that Dough, you should put the camera on a tripod or set it down, that will get rid of 90 percent of your blur I guarantee it.

Movie theaters are definately abysmal these days. I'm quite a movie buff and worked in a theater when I was a teenager. The theater I worked was very big on the "theater experience". They have a huge main screen and beta tested dolby equipment which was 25000+ watts to dozens of speakers.

Although tickent prices have gone up and up, the addition of commercials was just too much for me. I rarely hit the megaplex theaters anymore and now only hit independent theaters or see films in the theater that I know won't include commercials (artsy fartsy stuff).

My own opinion on the commercials and movie trends comes down to kids and families. Kids have more money to spend and both parents usually work. So the kids have more free time and money. Naturally, movies target this group more and more. The result is increasingly unwatchable "eye candy" films with obnoxiously-loud sound and wall-to-wall special affects.
