Cant see weapons

This only happens after playing for about 2 hours.
On or about wave 14, 15, or 16 I see only 1/2 the monsters out there (i.e. I get damage from invisible things) I also notice I can't see my mines being laid or my translocator being launched and even stranger is if I use a MWM on a weapon the weapon disappears!

If a new map is voted on I can see everything great until those later waves come up.

This has only started in the past month with no changes to my system.

I have a AMD 3200 CPU (2.2 Ghz) 512Mb ram so that can't be the problem.
I have 1.7 GB of virtual memory so there's plenty there.
I've moved all my cached maps to my maps section.
I've totally cleaned all cached files on system and defragged HD
I don't think it's the video card since its the same one I've always used.

Someone mentioned since I have DSL I should clean the filters. I have a full house filter which means I have a box outside my house where the phone line connects and is split there. Should I just clean the wires?

Any other ideas?

I had a similar problem today with the weapons... I tried giving away a null link, but it disapeared when I through it... so I tried to give away a vorpal sniper, but that also disapeared and the person never received it. It only happened on that map and their weren't any misfortunes around so I was kind of confused...

ive had that happen to me. it was on hall of giants and i threw a vorpal shock to soup to max, and when he was done he threw it back,m i ran it over and it was gone not on my screen or anything but when i looked at him he said i had it in my hands so i had to restart and i havent gotten this probelm in a long bit of time

This happens to me a lot if theres packet loss.

One can see what their packet loss is like if they type "stat net" at the console.

If the packet loss seems particularly bad, disconnect, cycle your modem, and re-enter the game, it may help.

that strange stuff happened to me like 4 times......
First i start to lag,and then when i shoot my bullets doesnt appear but kill the target like if it was invicible...and when i die, i respawn with nothing....lol....no assault rifle,no shield gun,and when i press q to switch to my trans, appears the trans with a different name like rpg modif , so strange!!!

But it happens to me like 2 times in one month....

It's not very often, but it happens to me too.

It sounds a lot like packet loss to me.

A lot of crappy firewall software will determine that the DC server is trying to DOS you.

If at all possible, and if you trust us, you should add the DC server's IP: 208.186.100.30 to your firewall to ignore for any odd hate.

The fact that you see it after a couple of hours seems to indicate that your firewall decided it received too many packets from our server.

Only happens at wave 15 and 16 when new map started everythings ok until wave 15 and 16.

Do you see this every single game fodder?

It might have been related to the HUD restarting all the time, although that's been fixed for a few days.

Is there any chance you aren't running patch 3369 or UT2004RPG 2.1?

You can more easily bring up that net stats by pressing F6.

and there is "stat fps" for those who don't know.
