Hi,

I wanted to try Single player a bit to see how a Full Energy Leech/Loaded Artifact compare to full Vampire/Loaded Weapon. So i tryed to make a server identical to Disastrous consequences.

I have an issue wich i am unable to resolve.

As soon as i hit second wave, mobs become 100% resistants. IT looks like weapons do 1 damage only. Wich makes Energy Leech/Vampire completelly useless.

Redeemer becomes the worst weapon and Mini the best because they hit fast.

I also Unchecked everything that makes mobs harder:
-Adjust mobs to lowest player level is off
-ratio of mob level is 0.01
Without success.

Anyone got an idea, or druid, would it be possible to put the DisastrousConsequences config file available for download?

Thanks!

The UT2004RPG.ini that comes with the download is literally our config...

Is it possible that you made yourself level 500 or something?

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Probably did, but is there a way to prevent the monsters from being vertually invincible when you bump your level like that?

Do you mean 'Single Player' or 'Instant Action' or 'Host game'? When I want to experiment, I run a Host Game in Listen mode, even if it is only me playing. I find it best replicates real life servers. (Sometimes I even run a dedicated server, and then run a client to connect to it, but you shouldn't need to do that for this test.)

I have also found that some game types (e.g. Team Invasion, or Wehtam Invasion) do not take the AutoAdjustInvasionLevel flag into account, so if you are level 200, it automatically sets the attack and damage reduction bonuses for the monsters to 100*7 = 700. Then you will get the symptoms you see - just one damage per shot.

You could test to see if it is the AutoAdjustInvasionLevel that is giving the problem by setting yourself to a low level e.g. level 3 and see if the same problem occurs. If the monsters remain killable, then it is the levelling that is the problem.

Standard out-of-the-box Invasion ought to be ok, as it should take note of the AutoAdjustInvasionLevel and the InvasionAutoAdjustFactor, so make sure you are trying one of those under Host Game, and see if you still get the same problem.

You could try removing some of the ServerPackages you have, and see if that makes any difference.

You haven't got a really large PointsPerLevel set?

In the UT2004RPG mod, the key part of the damage calculation is (simplified):

Damage = Damage * (1 + (InstigatedData.Attack - InjuredData.Defense)/200))

So, if the monsters defense bonus ever gets 200 points above your attack bonus, then you will only do 1 damage - regardless of how much damage the weapon would normally have done.

You could try allowing yourself to have a really high attack bonus, and see if that fixes it.

That would be set in the monster adjustment factor. Decrease that and you should be fine. I know what you are talking about, usually one lighting hit would kill a pupae, but it was taking 3-4 hits to kill them. Now I can kill them with one hit with the Monster Adjustment Factor lowered. My character was the default 200 level provided in the UT2004RPG.ini from the DruidRPG v1.73 download.

Yep i have put 99 so i can actually buy everything. Does that make any difference?

AutoAdjustInvasionLevel is False
InvasionAutoAdjustFactor is 0.01 (The smallest possible)

Mobs still get adjusted

Ill try to put PointPerLevel back to 7 and put a starting of 200 tonight.

Thanks for replys!

There is the option to set the monster level based upon the current lowest player level. Otherwise the base level for the monsters is zero. However, for each wave they get two extra levels added on. In your case, it would mean the monsters defense stats would be increasing by 99 per wave, and its attack by 99 per wave.
The first wave would be easy. After a few waves you would be down to 1 point damage per shot.
If you were level 5, then you would have had quite a few points to spend - how much was your attack bonus stats? Once the monsters got to 200 above that, forget it.

it is better to put points per level to like 5 and just make the start level 99
or you can open the ut2004rpg.ini and make yourself whatever level you want.
