Did you lose your hard drive too? Otherwise you might want to play off the old installation. If you don't get it figured out I would drop an email to unreal@disastrousconsequencesdotcom and ask Dru how you should proceed.

As long as your CD Key and name are the same, it will just work.

You'll probably want to spend some time downloading maps from the maps page and skins, but that's about all.

Make sure and patch to 3339 or 3355 before you play

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Yeah, I think there's 2 revisions of the player agreement running around out there. I'll correct this in a future release by changing the package name.

Chloe had the same problem one time. Here's what we did to fix it. If you look in the system folder, possibly cache fold as well, you will find Dru's player agreement files. Best way to resolve the issue is to one of two things:

Option 1:
-Close down the UT application.
-Empty your UT2004/cache folder.
-Personally look in your UT2004/System folder for any traces of Druids player agreement and delete those fils from the folder. (Basically delete anything that says druid or playeragreement.
-Load up UT and enter the server.

Your PC will redownload any files it needs to play on Druid's server, including the up to date player agreement.

*If problem still persist then go to Option 2*

Option 2:
-Repeat all steps from option 1 in the same order until it gets to the "Load up UT option". Repeat DO NOT START UT YET!!!.
-Click http://www.disastrousconsequences.com/dc/downloads/DruidsPlayerAgreement.zip to manually download the player agreement.
-Copy the files from the zip to there appropriate directory, I believe both the files in the zip go in the UT2004/System folder.
-Load up UT and enter the server and play.

I am pretty sure the first option will work fine. I can't remember if I had to continue into option 2 or not. Druid if you could post a reply to this of my informations accuracy I think it would help everyone who ever has an issue with this again.

The third option is to patch to 3355. It works great client side and contains fixes so that multiple copies of a given class can be in your cache.

Other than if you clear your cache folder you loose a lot of cached maps it looks ok. You might just delete files under like 100k (except for the ini) so you dont smoke your maps.

Alternatively, you can open the ini file in your cache directory, search for DruidsPlayerAgreement, find the filename for it and delete that specific file from your cache.

OS: Windows XP 5.1 (Build: 2600)
CPU: AuthenticAMD PentiumPro-class processor @ 1400 MHz with 1023MB RAM

Assertion failed: sizeof(*this)==GetClass()->GetPropertiesSize() [File:.\UnGame.cpp] [Line: 148]

History: UGameEngine::Init <- InitEngine <- FMallocWindows::Free <- FMallocWindows::Free

First part is just telling me what I have in my computer but, No hablo mucho computador language. ( I dont know a lot of computer language) so if you could please tell me what the Assertion failed means in English I would be very happy for the help again.

uhh, maybe this is causing a problem ?

now on the more serious part,
a while ago my ut started to do weird things to..
when starting the game, it said incorrect cdkey,
i was 100% sure it was correct,
so reinstalled, fixed.
installed ECE, and 3355 patch.
got error, something the same like you. [dont know the exact error anymore, so cant check may have been the exact same.]
reinstalled game again, fixed.
what did i do wrong here ?
i moved ECE into my ut folder instead of installing it..
this proberly because it had all folders sorted out in advance.. meaning manual-install look

hope this helps, or atleast a bit..

you might could move your c:\UT2004\System\User.ini somewhere else and start it. I've seen that file get corrupted more than once before.

Yep, the game has default User.ini and UT2004.ini files so that if you encounter problems you can move or delete yours and it will create new ones from scratch.
