Over the past few days, I have noticed what seems to be a problem with the AC mod while using superweapons. I bring this up as I want to see if we can characterize it a bit better so that Dru might have a bit better information and hopefully be able to fix it next time he does some other work on the mod. Basically, what has been happening to me is that while flying the deemer, I have had several shots terminated by what seems to be the AC mod itself. No deemer flash from my deemer or a neighboring deemer, and no message about being denied. In most of these instances, I find that I am in the countdown for either being OOB or too close to the super spawn after I return to my regular PoV. And yesterday, in my HUD while flying the deemer around (once down the holes in Face, once above) I clearly saw messages about my being OOB. I also know that in at least one of these instances, I came back to find a small bug harrasing me.

So, has anyone else seen this sort of behaviour, particularly while flying the deemer near the ends of waves? If so, let's see if we can figure out a bit more about what is going on so that we can get this fixed.

A deemer is a terrible thing to waste! (thinking of the ads from the 60's to the late 80's, where it was a mind instead of a deemer).

If you fire your superweapon right after you pick it up, you WILL lose it.

The thing is, when I discussed this with Dru some weeks ago, he said that the AC checks should have been suspended while the deemer was flying.
This discussion included things like "flying the deemer around to find that last bug" and "grabbing the deemer and firing". What is more, I have had it when firing my loaded weaps deemer from nowhere near the deemer spawn point. And in one case, I was definitely getting "bugged" by a bug when it triggered. Almost as if the AC mod was saying that I was OOB where the deemer was.

I still lose deemers to the AC mod. But I'm usually in a bad spot whether I know it or not.

It's on the list of things to fix

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Just wanted this to be the case, even if it takes awhile (rather be in with you playing). I know this is odd enough it will be difficult to debug. But I also know that you are possibly like me, and if you do not have the reminder, you are apt to push it off the bottom of the stack, onto swap and clear off the other side.

Again, thanks for putting it on the list!
