Would it be possible to create a final "boss" round? A single monster with either super high health or enhanced abilities that everyone tries to take down?

Yes.

Things like this can be done. It just has to be set up by the admin of the server.

I have created boss waves and although we dont use 1 monster, we do use a handful of really amped monsters that have ridiculous amounts of health and several times normal damage. It is quite effective whether it comes at the final wave or several times in the middle.

The hardest part is that you cant make the game immediately end after one of these monsters dies. The best thing is to make only 1 come out at a time and set the wave to end after a minute or less. Then maybe another one wont be able to spawn as long as the first one isnt killed in the first 30 seconds.

I think this is an awesome idea. 18 players all trying to take down an overly large titan while it slams us with overly large rocks and squishes us with its overly large feet.

hmm isnt that a case with the titan waves? they do have alot of health and several times normal damage but sure one giant one would be great.. !

I suggest a glowing, super fast, super powerful, regular-sized warlord, instead of a huge titan. A huge titan wouldn't fit on many maps and besides, titans aren't too hard if they're not directly throwing rocks at you.

True, but if a Titan has 20 times its normal health, it can last long enough to throw rocks directly at each player until they are all dead.



We use Elite Kralls for out first boss wave, then Behemoths, then Metal Skaarj (an old favorite), and finally Titans for the final boss wave. Of course the final wave on our server isnt a boss wave, just several waves full of one type of monster.

OR! If Dirty_Deeds is online, on wave 17 HE could become the boss. We'd give him full health/ammo, extra quickfoot, and a few other goodies, and we all gang up on him. To me that would be scarier than any over-sized titan.

Don't even talk like that. I'd like to be able to actually win the match, not get slaughtered like cattle.

True, everyone under lvl 100 might as well jump into lava at the start of the round, but I could see a good match between DD vs. Mac_Knife/CplMac/Chyster/etc.

No,no,no...you'd have to take everything away from DD, plus give him half health, no shield and all negitive weps. Then maybe, just maybe the rest of us might find the chance to even hit him with a flak cannon....once....before the last thing we ever saw was our own gibs painting the horizone red.

or instead of a huge titan, how about a flying dragon or a huge ice demon, etc.


for the final round there could be 4 boss monsters each one representing a element, fire dragon, ice demon, thunder something, and water snake. As you can see i am out of ideas but sounds cool.

for boss designs we could just look up monsters from other games.

A warlord sized nali with quickfoot and a +20 vorpal shield gun and queen teleport ability would be fun too. Magic effects dont work on nalis, so you can't be cheap and just vorpal the boss to death

last wave could have someone as a "mutant" which gets enhanced abilities and everyone must kill him/her which the killer gets bonus points. the "mutant" gets bonus points for each player killed. the "mutant" would be random.
