Announcing DruidsAntiCamper!

DruidsAntiCamper is a mutator that watches for players to go out of
bounds and/or camp objects you specify. You may configure it
to either place the player back inside the map at a spawn point or kill
the player.

This is the official release. Please delete any old copies and/or betas.

Please download your copy today from the downloads page:

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

Every invasion server needs this mutator. No one likes skilless players who hide on a platform and throw spider mines off the edge. Its certainly made Osiris a more interesting map. Keep up the good work!

I do miss being able to find creative spots to snipe from.

Sniping is an art form. =)

Just keep the monsters in visual range and you'll be ok

I still snipe, the lightening gun is my best friend. The mod takes some getting used to and it was more of a nuisance at first. Kinda like gnats in your face when doing yard work. But, once you get used to it, you'll find it useful too.

One, there are now fewer places for NPC's (non-playing characters) to hide, and two, if per chance I happen to find a deep hole in a map, or if I Ghost improperly to a place under the map, voila, I am back in the game without chewing the cyanide pill.

I would highly recommend this mod for anyone who is plagued by campers and tired of warning folks about it. It is an administrative, hands free, watchdog that allows EVERYONE to enjoy the game more, players and admins alike. Since its introduction here, it has provided several benifits such as lower levels of stress, improved communication and coaching with visitors, and higher admin scores.

Just stay in the fields of play or in eyesight of a critter and you'll be fine.

If at first you don't friccasee, fry, fry a hen.

I do, but it still counts me down. I mean, even on FaceClassic, I can be in totally visual spot, but I guess because it's not a point the monsters can go do, it wants to kick me? Just my guess on that part anyway.

Visible is not enough... you have to have monsters that are visible and that can also see you. If it's the end of the wave, and there are no monsters, or there are no monsters in that area, there's no way for me to know you're visible

Like on the front of the towers, first ledge down, sniping at bugs at or past the keg? Yep! Great sniping spot which is now toast just because the bots will not jump off the top (no pathing and damage avoidance). Gee...when I first started playing CTF and Face, half the time I would go out of the tower via the portal to the top, skip down the face using my shield to reduce damage and go running behind the folks who were thinking they were chasing me! Imagine their surprise when I shot them in the back of the head with a pea shooter, while carrying the flag.

BTW...found my previous post which was a reply to this thread. Figured since it was about the anti-camper mod, it belonged in "Other Mods", but Dru disagreed and moved it to "DisastrousConsequences.com". Oh well.
