So, what music do people here like?

I myself am in to Techno/Electronica/Trance/Happy Hardcore/ type stuff myself. Here is my favorite musicians website http://www.ampcast.com/kaw(there's one song on there that parents would probably not want their kids to hear "Electroclimactic")-Kyle "KeeL" Ward, a unkown smalltime artist who lives in the Seattle area. I've been listening to his music for several years now, and his music continues to inspire me in making abstract art.

Let me guess, this whole idea started when someone decided to pump GnR through the public channel on Anubis? I like everything from Modest Mouse to Led Zeppelin(all time favorite) to Eminem to The Beatles to The Cars to George Strait to Chemical Brothers to KoRn to old school Metallica. Hey Cloud if you like Electronica Steelace turned me on to a really cool song:
Turtle Bend - A Short Story. Vast is pretty good too. If you cant find that Turtle Bend song(its very hard to find) I can get it to you just let me know.

good, bad, I'm the guy with the gun.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I like most everything - for an old guy I'm pretty up to date on music. Some of the pop/bubblegum stuff I can't stand but my iTunes library has Classical, Rock (classic, proggy, hard and symphonic), Metal, Techno/Dance/House (yeah, VAST is pretty good), Latin, World, R&B, Blues, Jazz/fusion and even some William Shatner Don't much care for rap or country but I do have some of that too.

The thing is, I normally don't have music going when I play - never got used to it because I like to hear where things are coming from. I think it came from playing mostly defense in Q3 CTF. Some other games that I play (such as MMORPG's) I won't even put on my headphones since the sound isn't integral to the game mechanics.

Hey Cloud, I got about 4 or 5 techno songs I'll bet you like. Let me know if you want me to mail them to you, since most of the links to them are dead now.

Finally someone else who likes Rammstein! I love Engel. Also a couple of older Nitzer Ebb songs like Join In The Chant. I knew Ceps would have good taste in tunes! Ya like Powerman 5000?

I listen to everything under the sun pretty much.... well except country. I own quite a bit of music because it's a love of mine. My collection ranges from Metal to Classical to Comedy to Easy Listening to Pop.

If you were to get in my car at any time, chances are you will find some sort of metal band playing or a gothic/industrial type band.

I could list my favorites, but the list would be way too long and probably upset people

Among my tops (currently) are:
*Mudvayne
*Slipknot
*A Perfect Circle
*Angel Theory
*Kevorkian Death Cycle
*Shadows Fall
*Avril Lavigne (ok, just cause I think she's cute)
*KoRn
*Henry Rollins

oh and Biceps... You should check into Glen Danzig as an avatar or perhaps Henry Rollins

Blue Oyster Cult (my cuz was their sound man for many years in the late 70's early 80's. I had a set of stacks from when he quit, they gave him all of the stuff he ever worked on for them!! Man it was cool, untill i had to put them into storage and they got wrecked.
Black Sabbath
Ozzy (alone)
Rush
AC/DC
Korn
Red Hot Chili Peppers
Pear Jam
Nirvana
Some Depech Mode (a little of the older stuff)

The two best music movies in my opinion:
