Greetings everyone.

I wanted to just take a moment and say that I've observed some karma points being used as a personal attack instead of their intent, to help improve the quality of the posts on our forums.

If you don't like someone, or don't agree with them, fine. Don't use karma points to get even. Use karma points to rate a post up or down depending upon how you feel about the post.

I'll be the first to say that I've been rated 1 plenty, and a lot of the posts I've been rated 1 on I'll begrudgingly admit may deserve it. That's not what I'm talking about here.

I've been observing some very valuable posts that have been rated 1.

We have every intent to keep our server a warm and inviting environment, and if we feel that anyone is attacking someone personally, we will personally invite them to leave.

The fundamental problem is this: The first word we learn as children is NO. From that point forward society teaches women that saying no isn't polite, and society teaches men to respect those who wont take no for an answer.

I had never even paid attention to the rating until now - LOL! I normally ignore topics that don't interest me (i.e. "Skins" since I don't use anything other than default) or I don't have time for anyway... heh, I guess I'll pay attention more
