What is a CDKey hash?

A CDKey hash is a combination of numbers and letters based on the CDKey that you received when you purchased Unreal Tournament. Each CDKey is unique.

How is a CDKey hash different from a CDKey?

CDKey hashes are based on your CDKey, but they are different in order to maintain your privacy. In other words, they prevent people from stealing your CDKey. NEVER give your CDKey to anyone.

What does the CDKey hash do?

Each server recognizes you by your CDKey hash and IP address. On an RPG server such as this one, every character you create is stored under the same CDKey hash. CDKey hashes, like IP addresses, can be used to ban people from a server.

How do I know what my CDKey hash is?

In the main menu of Unreal, click on "Settings." Then click on the "Game" tab at the top of the screen. At the bottom of the screen you will see a box that says "Unique ID/Messages." In that box is your CDKey hash. Simply remove the dashes.
