Artifacts are items that are each designed for a specific purpose. There are several ways to gain artifacts: Adrenaline Masters and Monster/Medic Masters each have artifacts specific to their class. If a player carrying artifacts dies, all non-class specific artifacts are dropped and may be picked up by other players. In the Invasion gametype, monsters will sometimes drop artifacts when they are killed. In other gametypes, artifacts will randomly spawn.

Using artifacts
Artifacts require adrenaline to use. For continuous use artifacts, click on "U" to use them, and "U" to turn them off (if you run out of adrenaline, they will automatically shut off). For all other artifacts, press "U" to use them. Some artifacts (such as Summoning Charm) will break after one use, others have a percentage chance to break after use (such as Magic Weapon Maker), and still others will never break. To scroll through your artifacts, press [ or ].
Tossing artifacts
There are two ways to toss or drop an artifact. In the console (hit the ~ key to enter the console), type tossartifact. You can also assign this command to a specific key in your settings (you must have UT2004RPG installed in order to do this). Class-specific artifacts cannot be tossed, and they will not drop if you die.
