Comprehensive list of mods in use on the server?

Hey hey - I know this is probably more work for someone but: Could we get a list of mods (beyond Mysterial's, as that's made quite clear elsewhere) that are used by the server?

For example, I have yet to see where Satore's Monster Pack is listed as a mod in use. My goal would be to obtain all that I could ahead of time so that I don't have to wait the 2 seconds it takes stuff to download over my cable modem. ;) The map packs were great! Now I'm looking for something similar (not the same - just a list would do) as far as mods are concerned.

Thanks!

Are you saying there is a way to keep from having to download the maps on occasion? If so I would sure like to know how! Thanks Fodder.

If you set "purgecachedays" to a really high number in your UT2004.ini file, you won't have to redownload a file again until that number of days passes.

This can be bad, however, if you go and download a bunch of stuff and never use it again. But if you've got the HD space, it works out.

Mine is currently at 5512847 days. It will clear itself out in about 15104 years. :wink:

EDIT: I'm sorry in advance if I completely misunderstood the question and acted really condescending.

Well on the topic of saving things so you dont have to download them again, get a cache cleaner program. There are many to choose from. All they do is take the file, rename it to what it should be, and move it to the proper folder.

For the files being used here, I can start the list.

DruidsRPG -> Download is on this site
DruidsAntiCamper -> also on this site
DruidsInvasionSpree -> on this site
DruidsPlayerAgreement -> this site again
TelefragExplode -> still on this site

satoreMonsterPack -> I don't remember his website, but check any major site that has files for this game, the current version is 1.20
UT2004RPG -> mysterial.linuxgangster.org
VehicleInvasion -> check those sites that have many files for UT2004, I think current version is 1.16

Is that about everything?

Is that about everything?

I settled on UT2004MI

As I don't have UT2004 in the default location (I'm anal about my directories - since I'm a systems admin - and have it tucked away in Program Files) it took a little fiddling for it to finally see my actual Cache dir (not sure how I got it to work, really) and it did move everything I told it to out.

I would say that if you experiment regularly with servers, you won't want to change your cache expiration or use a cache cleaner to install *everything*. But if you haven't been elsewhere in like a month or so, I would say installing everything is fairly safe.

One thing it did *not* do is allow me to choose those mods in instant action or even hosted games - however, some of them probably require an extra file or two for that, or require extra setup to kick in.

What it did do was pretty much empty my cache and put everything where it was, so next time I logged in I didn't need to download anything, and until updates are released, I shouldn't need to download anything. Once updates do come out, I'll just have to go through the uninstall process for the older stuff, and install the new versions.

As with any mucking around with files in directories named "System", use with caution.

That almost never works because you would be missing the .ucl or .int files that tell the game what the .u files actually do or how to reference them. And since a server never pushes .ucl or .int files there is no fix other than to search for the mutator and download a full copy yourself.
