hehe. That's the linux line feeds you're seeing. For some reason Microsoft(tm) decided that \r\n would be better than \n. Open it with WordPad(tm) That'll convert it.

I dont think so, but I might look into it. The F3 Message Screen is handled entirely by the game itsef... I'm reporting the head shots to the game... it just doesn't seem to track them on this scoreboard.

Re:DruidsInvasionSpree103

Well I'm not a hardcore coder but I was giving some thought towards one of the "issues" with getting to the holy crap status and not being able to recieve more "bonus" exp until after you waited 6.5s for the cycle to restart.

Now I figure that the server keeps a reading of how much damage is done during the killing spree cycle as a continuous numeric value. I would also figure that if the SERVER is keeping the numeric valua then a commend could be created that resets the damage counter for the cycle.

Example in a generic BASIC asspect, and no the commands aren't right but just using the phrasing as an example to illiustrate what I mean:

Var A= Kill cycle time recorded in seconds
Var B= Kill points a player recieves recorded in points.

Ok, here ya go:
""""When player hits "Holy Crap" THEN
Set Var A to 0.01s AND
Set Var B to 0 point.""""

Again I am not a coder but if your dealing with math equations to create these abilities then something along this line should work. Of course what it does is reset the point counter to 0 so that next kills still add towards a double damage and resets the kill time cycle, Var A, so that a new kill cycle is started.

Am I in a ballpark worth working in. Seems like maybe a 1 to 2 line addition to the mutator to make it work.

That is correct. In the Experience Game Rules are all the rules for that class.

You can just delete the Adrenaline and Basic sections if you're not going to specify those classes instead of the experience one.

Re:DruidsInvasionSpree103

Ok, so I was driving home and could not stop thinking about that equation. There might be a flaw in the first thinking. The flaw adhears to the way the points may be tracked. If you are tracking the points in a varible that corresponds with the points during the long term killing spree )example unstoppable, godlike, etc) AND THE SAME VARIABLE used to track the shorterm killing (double kill, wicked sick, etc) then the first suggestion I made would affect the longterm status by resetting that as well.

So I already have a proposed solution to my first thought. Basically breaking that SINGLE variable monitoring both things and making that single variable have a SUB VARIABLE and monitor the rules seperately. I am not going to write in a module for the longterm kills, cause that doesn't need to be altered, but writing the module for the short term. Tell me what you think.

Var spreel -> A (tracked with a point standard)
Var sprees -> B (tracked with a point standard)
Var times -> Y (tracked with a seconds standard)
Var lifespan -> X (tracked with a seconds standard)

IF X > 0secs THEN
START module long

"""""""""""Module long:
"Saving time coding by saying this mod uses functions by the use ofthe kill tracker spreel for point tracking during that time"

If X = 0secs THEN (Less than 0 meaning dead)
END module long""""""""

IF A > 0 points
AND Y = 0.01 seconds
START module short

""""""""Module short:
A -> C
(Ok here of course the requirement points for the short term awards are defined by keeping that points that were tracked by var A to the newly created var C and having the elapse time aspect tracked with Y)
IF C > 132 points
THEN Y = 0.01 seconds (Hence this meets the requirement for mod short to restart)
IF Y > 6.5 seconds
END module short
IF X < 0
END module short"""""""""

Ok. I know its not UnrealEd code but maybe this can give a guide line of a way to change (if you wanted to). I think with this general idea, the rewards mutator can fully be enjoyed without having to wait 6.5 seconds to not kill one of the ten titans around you cause you want more exp :D .

I'm still concerned that if you've scored well enough to get this far, that you're already raking in the xp. I don't really want you to be able to continue without limit.

If you want to continue earning xp, I'd say just keep killing the monsters. Even if your level of xp from multikills are pegged, you're still raking in the xp, and you're still working on other rewards.

Im confused, is the mutator supposed to stop giving multi kill rewards once you've hit Holy Crap and are still killing things? Because on our server I get Holy Crap once and if I keep going I'll get another, and another, and another. I just have to keep jumping up that last value of points or something.
Which patch is your server running?

There was a known bug in a previous version of the game where the Ludicrous kills would do a backwards count from 255 to line up with the HS kills. So whenever someone got a handful of HS kill there Ludicrous count would be over 250 like you are saying.

I'm not 100 positive, but I do believe they took care of that bug with one of the patches. Of course there is a chance that Invasion Spree re-introduces it in certain conditions. But on our server we never see that happen as several of us get many HS kills on the boss waves.

he also told me, that this is similiar to if it happens in SinglePlayer, where if you get 10 times Holy Crap (or 250 Ludicrous, not sure what he meant on this part) that you will get 60k money.

i think it is in the game, but maybe it is a bug in InvasionSpree in this case :?

I'd love to hear about a way to reliably duplicate this issue...

I believe the 60K in question was an amount of money that can be won in the single player missions if you manage to get a couple of HS kills during one of the matches. Since an unholy amount of Ludicrous kills would get you many many extra dollars for the bonus system.

Therefore it does not mean you would get that much experience.
