Re:Damage and medic weapon

Okay I'm stupid so please type slowly.

Is the medic weapon piercing or not piercing against foes?

Also, on a related topic, does anyone know anything about pet dmg output? Do pet stats correlate to player stats? I.e. does the pet get my DB/DR or DB/DR based on my level? Or my health bonus, etc. Also, is pet dmg piercing?

Kinda odd, but not a major deal. Figure a minute or two in the action plus another minute or more doing the long ghost and the round is basically over by the time you're done. Might come in handy in some clutch wave 16 situations, though.

The Monterey Aquarium is awesome. That's where they filmed parts of star trek 4. They had some pretty cool jellyfish the last time I went (about two years ago).

I saw this really cool flick about a month ago by James Cameron (Terminator). It's called "Aliens of the Deep". Apparently Cameron is a total Ocean geek outside of directing films so he put together this expedition to film all this cool stuff. It's an Imax style thing and very high-energy (unlike your typical PBS nature show).

Was he at 40 mph and she at a dead stop??!! I sure hope she got x-rays and is checking in with a doctor weekly, if so. A former girlfriend of mine got in a wreck like that, thought she was okay and a month later was in so much pain she was bed-ridden for about three months straight. Her neck and back were so permanently messed up she had an operation to remove some of her... uh ... chest. The weight was causing too much strain. She was a triathlete and aerobics instructor and it totally sidewalled all her fitness activities for 2+ years.

Very good chance of neck injury in those accidents that may not show for up to several weeks. It's not being sue-happy to get checked out thoroughly, you just don't take chances with those types of accidents ever.

Re::-)!

On a serious note, I didn't get my license until I was 18. My pops basically said I could get a license whenever I wanted, but if I wanted to drive his car I had to pay for my own insurance and top off the tank every time I used it. On top of that, he assured me that I wouldn't be driving it more than one or two times per week.

So, financially I was "priced out of the market". All my friends had licenses, though, and most had cars so it was no big deal. However, nearly every single one of them was involved in some sort of accident within a year of their license. A few guys in school were known to have had 3+, and this guy named Bud had 6. SIX!

I myself was involved in two with friends during that time. One where we were forced into a gaurdrail on the highway at high speed and the other involved a rollover. Both could have easily been prevented if my friends had been more aware and defensive. They're both still pretty lousy drivers, though, didn't learn. I guess it's in the genes.

As for me, seeing the costs involved and seeing everyone else get in stupid wrecks, I ended up being a pretty safe driver.

Bug regarding dropping/picking up artifacts?

 TheElectrician wrote:

Playing my LA char just now on Sympathy map, and accidentally tossed my tripple. (I have Loaded Art. lvl 2) Someone then "pinched me tripple", but that's not the problem. After a bit, a monster I killed dropped one, but....I couldn't pick it up. I ran over it a few times and nothin. :(

Played another wave or two, and same story. Whenever another tripple dropped I couldn't pick it up.

That really stunk. The tripple is my bread 'n butter.

Don't know if this problem affects all artifacts or not.

Any ideas as to why this happened? And if this is a recent intended change in the code, let me be the first to say, it ain't a good thing.

Electrician, the reason you can't pick it up is because normally chars are limited to 3 artifacts. There's a bug/trick where you can pick up more than that if the artifact starts to dissapear (what I refer to as "the toilet bowl swirl"). I think dropped artifacts "live" for around 10 seconds before they start swirling. Stand over the artifact and you'll get it. However, if someone swoops in who is not at their artifact capacity, they can grab the artifact pre-swirl, and you're out of luck.

At any rate, this has been in the game for a long time.
