I get that a lot. I was amazed by the first book.

I went ahead and ordered a couple Valyrian starter decks. I was told that the game is pretty good. Then again, I'd like it just for the artwork since I like most of the characters in the book.

A Game of Thrones

I just read a Game of Thrones by George R.R. Martin and I'd have to say that was the best book I've ever read. I'm now starting A Clash of Kings. The series is a fantasy science fiction. It has very little magic so it's not like a Forgotten Realms book. More like a Lord of the Rings with even less magic. Some say that Martin has ruined fantasy (but in a good way) because he did so well in this series. I know I won't read another Forgotten Realms book for a long while.

But I have to ask if anyone has ever played the Game of Thrones card game or the board game? I would like any opinions on that.

Or even any opinions on the book/series. I would strongly recommend reading this. But be prepared, each book is about 800+ pages long.

No spoilers please if you want to talk about the series.

Re:Loaded Weapson players need something, but what???

I think LW is fine. It's up to the player to choose to give away any weapons he/she may have. Same goes for LA players. There are pluses and minuses to being LW or LA. LW gets regeneration. LA gets adrenal drip. I would say it's still balanced and again, it's up to the player to decide if they want to give away weapons. I personally don't ask for weapons, but I will take anything that is handed out.

I notice that the holy kill only registers once on the F3 menu even though you may go several kills beyond the first holy kill as you can hear the announcer saying it over and over again with each kill. Now do you get the experience only once? or do you get the experience for the holy kills each and every time the announcer says it? I have never been able to pay attention to it once I'm on that roll.

Does this mean it would do the same damage to one monster consecutively, such as:

Titan (900) = 90 dmg + 90 dmg + 90 dmg...

or will it do different damage each turn based on the new health, such as:

Titan (900) = 90 dmg + 81 dmg + 72 dmg...

This has been discussed before, and the idea was bounced. I run a test system where I have a combined LW/LA/Medic character, and it is much too powerful. LAs need to be dependent on medics for healing, or use up their adrenaline for healing. Give an LA either the medic weapon or Vampire/Regeneration and you have problems. Which is why Druid split them up in the first place.

Your right, that would be too powerful. I was thinking that if it was implemented, the skills would cost double or maybe even triple the cost for each level. But that would encourage people to continue playing their high level character without starting over with a new character.

You know what would be cool, having racial abilities. Like resist poison, reflective body, flying ability, underwater breathing, resist fire, etc.

and of course there would be disadvantages such as more susceptable to fire, poison, water damage, less adrenaline pick-up, less energy pick-up.

Those are a few wild ideas right there. I'm sure the coding would be tough for that.

It would be nice to get the Monster Assaults to award extra xp for completion.
