What is the difference between Frags and Kills?

AFAIK, kills are your number of kills, frags are your number of kills minus your suicides.

Damage Bonus and Damage Reduction.

you make an excellent point. one that i have another personal problem with. there appear to be more people UNDER the age of 18 playing a M+ (i.e. 17+ rated) game, than those over 18. even if you declare VERBAL content to be questionable, the entire GAME is not appropriate for "LITTLE ONES". not that i'm trying to justify anything, but it is somewhat of a double standard.

as far as my name? how can anyone possibly put me in their "buddies" list, if i have 12 different names that i am forced to play under?

The thing is, is a parent can control whether the game will show gore or not, and can turn off/on mature tuants for the little one. The only thing that can't be automatically moderated is peoples behavior online. Hence the rules of conduct and strict enforcement, since little kids (8, 9 years old) DO play on this server on a regular basis.

And for your name- don't flatter yourself. I doubt there's anyone who plays on this server that would bother adding you as a "buddy". Even then, there's a simple work around. Tell them your email. They can email you, and you can email back with the name to add to their buddy list.

The number in brackets by someone's name is their stats ID. We are all numbers in the eyes of the stats thingymabob.

Why am I not surprised?

No offence cpl, but that is a pretty bad strategy.
Ok, so the site has hard number data about level, and what weapons do. But what about strategies?!?!

Post your strategies (or just general tips & tricks) here. A long time ago, when I played vanilla invasion, I made a somewhat lengthy strategy guide. As it is, I'm too lazy to update it with Titan and Queen strategies, as well as RPG strategies stuffs.

But anyways, I'll part with some of my strategies that I've learned:

Know what your playing style is. You can scuplt your character build around this, as it's much easier than the reverse.

For example, my playing style is "DON'T DIE" So I've put a lot of points in to damage reduction, health bonus, and am now in the process (still) of getting Resurecction (I'm still working on putting points in to "Spelling Things Correctly"). Every now and then I'll be #1 on the board, but more often than that I end up being the last survivor who either saves the day or ends up getting killed by the last shield nali.

Put your first stat points in to health bonus and then regeneration. This will increase your short life significantly, as long as you don't jump in front of a nali's gun. Follow up by getting Resupply and Loaded Weapons. After that, get whatever tickles your fancy.

O.K. now Everyone post thier strategies starting.......

i'm just saying, i've played on 100's of servers for dozens of fps's, using one of these two names.

this is the only time i've ever been pushed out because of it.

i respect an admin's right to censor. i also feel that such information should be included in the "server title", not just in the "welcome notes". and in my opinion, "censored" servers don't make a server the "best". certain players will always need censored, because they run their mouths. that shouldn't be grounds to punish all players.

now can we get back to my SUGGESTIONS?

I know Dru already responded, and the Forum Admin blood that still runs through my veins from years past urges me not to, but I am going to beat the dead horse a bit.

I like swearing. I swear all the time, especially when I'm using my computer (stupid computer.) I also make a lot of crude jokes (albeit immature "your mom" and "in Uranus" quality "jokes").

But the thing is Dru and Shan don't want that stuff on their server. As it so happens, Dru and Shan are a couple of pretty nice people. They have put a lot of time and money in to that server that most of us enjoy to play on. They don't HAVE to do this. I still am trying to figure out WHY anyone would want to spend soooooo much money (hundred and hundreds and hundreds of $$$) and a lot of time (I have a feeling neither Dru nor Shan are unemployed) on such a thing.

Taking all that in to consideration, the absolute least we could do for Shan and Dru, is to follow their rules when we're on their server. And the rules are very reasonable. It's not like they are asking you to give up your first born child or anything just to play on the server.

If I have to give up swearing temporarily, and my somewhat lewd comments, just to play on this server then so be it. I just have to make sure not to press "f" when someone steals my weapon maker.

Having to temporarily change your nickname is even less of a problem. Because no matter what your nickname is, you'll still be the same person. You'll still have the same skills, or lack thereof, and same model and whatnot.

And of course as you yourself said, there's 100's of server's out there where your nicks are alright. I'm sure if it's that much of a problem, you could always just go to another server.

*sough* ermm... on topic... on topic... let's see...

Err, Wil the next version of DruidsRPG contain any suggestions from this thread at all?
So, what does a poison+4 really do? Is it poison +40% damage? Or 40% longer poison DOT?

Heh, I acually don't know the specific specifics of posion, even after reading the source code. Just that it causes damage over time.

My own observations suggest that the higher the + the longer the poison laststs for, and the code suggests that the amount of damage done over time is roughly based on a percentage of damage that you did with the weapon that poisened the monster/person.

Probably safe to assume that if its a druid gun then yes, if its a mysterial gun then no. Poison and Protection are Mysterial guns.

Indeed, but can it be expected of everyone to have it emmorized which gun is a Mysterial gun and which is a Druid Gun? I can tell easy as for one, I'm a huge freakng nerd, and two, I played ut2004 rpg quite a bit before I played on this server (and thus DruidsRPGXXX). But to expect everyone else to be able to sort it out on their own (asking people on the server, looking it up on the sire) is holding them up to an unfair standard.
On the server today there was a bit of confusion as to how some of the modifiers work.

Everyone knows if you get a +5 minigun, it does +50% damage. Most people also know if you get a Vorpal Shieldgun +9 you will do 90% more damage, as well as 4% chance of instagib.

However, when it comes to guns of poison, energy, force, protection, sturdy, penetrating/piercing guns.

This is the confusion. Posion Link Gun +4. Does the +4 mean extra damage?

I say not really. I've looked through the code, and I've looked through Mysterial's documentation of ut2004RPG, and there's is abolsutly nothing about doing the extra 10% damage per plus. I am sure that the + on a posion just modifies the strength of the poison, and the duration of the posion.

But other people on the server were saying that the +4 would mean the extra damage in the same way of a regular +4 link. There is also this thinking for other weapons, of protection etc.

Can the almighty Dru confirm or deny whats going on here, because I know I'm right. Just other people don't. They need to hear it from the man.

I think a lot of this confusion stems from how Dru likes to add +10% damage per plus on his weapons (regardless of the prefix or suffix of a magical weapon) and on the weapons he modifies (and how mysterial doesn't for his). But that's just me typing out loud.
