It looks like, the best thing for the high level people to do is keep the lowest level player in the game alive!
Tactics wise to survive the wave, I don't know if you can get more exp for killing higher level monsters, but with some grouping and coordination it could make getting that bonus exp from winning the map more likely for everyone.
you just have to decide if thats more than you would get for going out with a bang!
as for piercing, I love it, i have been putting most of my points into addrenal and weapon speed, so piercing is esseential on later levels, that or another ability like protection, cause I have no dr

At my current level, I would perfer a protection +4 to amy except the vamp. It keeps me alive, Freezing mini isent that bad either, it has a fire rate high enough to actually stop a monster. as for force, I think that it rocks on a link gun. just my oppeninon. but i know what keeps me alive.
I dont splatter monsters left and right with these weapons, I cant do that with any weapon short of a rage avril invasion. I had a lot of fun with one of those last night on a titan wave. I have never killed that many titans on a map, much less a single wave! and their rocks kill me with a single shot at 80 health or 200 so, it works!
so point is, I will stay alive over dealing more damage, if I stay alive, I eventualy do more firing, acuire more adrennelane and make or double more weapons bonuses.

This is a known issue, it is also very annoying, and the more artifacts that you have, the more deadly it will be.
I think that 320 is working on some key binds to go to spacific artifacts...it may be a temporary fix, but it may be the only work around that we have for a while.

First queastion, what am I doing up at 4am posting on this site? No ok real queastions now!
It seems like lines form for healers, and not being one to cut in line, I wait until my turn, but when most of the healers are using area effect weapons (so they can heal themselves) it is possible for them to heal up to 4 people at a time. Shouldent we form a protocall where people group up instead of form a line?
Second queastion> Is it possible to program the HUD to show a spacific class individual, or to like mabe have a persons dot get brighter after they post or talk on the mike? I dont know myself, I havent even programed a VCR much less a game....
and under my name is that little group of stars, some are filled in and some are empty, it says KARMA, what is that? is it good? I have seen that people who have posted quite a bit have all full stars, so is it the ammount that you post? or is it an approval rating for what you post?

I revise part of my previous statement, not the part about loving the server and the community, but the part about changing the weapons.
Seriously.
I got loaded artifacts level 2 tonight and everything changed.
At this point I wouldent complain if you took the FLACK totaly out of the game!

Ya know,
most of the suggestions I see are are good, both of these are cool. But when Im on the server, I see people of the level you are mentioning laying waste to the monsters until they are the last one left, and sometimes then!
To point, I saw Mystic charge 4 warlords last night, on open ground, he wasent dodging, he was just firing away and walking into their rockets, his total damage with the weapon he was using was enough that his vamparism allowed him to ignore the damage.
so I ask, do higher level characters need more dammage?
I am all for effects that make the game cooler, or allow more versitile play.
I am all for effects that offer coordination between classes and players, but do we truely need to give the most powerful people that play the ability to kill more quickly?

I will chip in with my thoughts here once again,
I see alot of posts refering to the maximum abilitys of the 3 classes. I would quote some of them, but they are all over the place. The thing is, each side is looking at what the other gets at what I consider high level (yes I know ME ME ME) I can only talk from my own prospective on this one.

You have a very tough job, congrats on putting togather a comunity where people care this much about you and each other.
My OPENINON: you want to keep play balanced between classes and players.
when you make the changes that you have outlined above, high level players, and very high level players will maybe redistribute points, or change tactics, lower level characters and players like myself (ones who regularly commit suacide 5 times a map) will just gain less experiance, and take longer to go up in level. I feel that with the changes that you are making, I will need to get my TD artifact as quickly as I can. I was not going to buy it until I had my adreniline skills higher.
Again, even with the changes you are making, you run a fun server to play on. I have not been chalanged by a first person shooter this much in about 6 or 7 years.
BTW, I just got a port of DOOM for my phone! MUHAHAHAHA

I like the idea of experiance from doing somthing besides killing with the AM. especialy because DRU would like them in more of a support role.
This would change some of the balance of the game from competitive to cooperative.

I waited a while after reading this to think about all the hard decisions that you are making here, and after some play, with some reletively high level characters (to me, I only have a level 25 AM) the changes you are going to make will have a positive overall effect on the higher level characters that are
playing.
However, lvl 20 to maybe 50 are going to be a different story. Paticularly because, if most of the players are LW, and they are up in the face of the monsters, they are going to pick maps (voting) that fit that play style. I have been on several times where I was doing ok, (not good yet!) and when the map changed to a smaller tight map, it was all I could do to survive for 1 minute, much less a round.
Also, if you lower the damage bonuses of magic weapons, you are going to change the ability of lower level characters to gain experiance. Correct me if I am wrong, but: DR of monsters is based on average level? experiance is based on damage you deal (after dr?). Even now I am getting less experiance playing with a decent number of high level characters and winning a map than I am when I play with just a couple of lower level people and am erradicated in one of the earlier rounds.

Rule#20 when lagging avoid rocket launchers, yes, you can run past your own rockets and be hit by them.
as an aside, I am the only player I know that has scored a headshot on myself with the lightning gun, to become godlike and end my own killing spree! I love my ISP!
