This may explain why I've seen some players with just numbers (no name nor imposter) like 57234 today. I thought they were like idle bots or something since this player would die almost right away, and never scored any points. Would end up with -80 before round 16.

Hey guys I'm almost back. I had some hard drive issues for the past couple weeks, relating to the fact that windows doesn't like hard drives bigger than 137gb! So I actually ended up ruining my 400Gb drive! I RMA'ed the drive and already got my replacement, so I'm all good now. Plus I went out and got a 150Gb 10,000 rpm RAPTOR hard drive, as my system boot drive, and the 400gb is my storage. I can't believe how fast this drive is. Windows boots in SECONDS after POSTing. Wow!

Dang I wish my copy of UT2k4 was on DVD, I hate having to swap a half dozen CDs into my drive when installing....

I don't think he's referring to remote server access but making shortcuts on your desktop that automatically change the player name when you Dclick them. I'm assuming.. I didn't click the link he gave.

I think the same problem is also for any pickup powerup that spawns on any given map. Deemer/Ion, 50/100 armor, Adren pills, and ammo. It's all first come first serve, and yet it ticks me off that someone got to it just before I did when I really needed it.. but I'll eventually die anyway. So what? Lol.

I want to create another account on the server by simply changing my name. So I had assumed to just make another profile in UT2k4, select it, and then go online under my favorites servers, and connect to DC. It logs me in as FRAGaLOT like it usually does. What am I doing wrong?

Almost every time I launch UT2k4 I hear my PC play that .WAV file as if I just plugged in a USB thumb drive (or anything USB). Anyone else get this? Any idea what this is?

Normally when I launch UT2k4, I'm clicking on the "ENTER THE GAME" link on the home page so that I'll connect right to the server.

phew! I didn't reaize I was well past lvl 50.. teehee.. I've been out of it for a while.. some new wepon types I've not heard of before. Yay!!! thanks drew for editing my char.. though I dunno what you did. /shrug

BTW the join dates I'm seeing in these forums for users on here seem WAY off. Like im sure I joined this forum back when I started about a year ago, not seven months from now.... LOL!

Anything to do with the server crash this past week?

Since the servers are dead I can't even see what my level is right now. But 2x XP is going to be fun... just hope we stay off the onsalut maps.

Why would you need to set virtual memory on more than one drive or partition. You only need one as far as I know of.

I'd love to see the Engineer class be able to rebuild armor, or drop armor powerups. Engineers could build weapon lockers, drop them anywhere. I'd also like to see medics drop/give adrenaline to another player.

Okay so what's the difference between someone who simply has a healing weapon, and the healing class, or "medic"?

I also noticed that the main web page isn't querying the UT server proper, showing:

There are currently Bad queryString players playing Bad queryString on map Bad queryString

Maybe they changed your IP address on the UT server when they brought their systems back up? Also clicking the links from that shows an empty list with Bad queryString all over the place.
